Tamales! Tamales! This is your detailed step by step recipe. I walk you through the process of making tamales in a Mexican home. Tamales are a corn masa …
I posted this to my Facebook page so I can make better tamales. My big problem is that I like long and fat tamales, so I am always spreading too much masa in my husk, so when the steam, they come out really hard. Don't worry, I'll work on that. So this Saturday, I'm going to make some tamales, and see how they come out.
Omg I'm soo excited to try to make these tamales, thank you for all the tips
This is going to be my 1st time making Tamales ! I'll tell you how they turn out . For $8.00 a dozen is chep for as much work goes into them. Thank you very much. L C.
I love tamales . Wished I had the wrist strength to do that . One time had hispanic lady make me tamales. AWWW really good . I love watching you girls. its was like me and my sisters, how we use to be. I will try to make them. your friend laura

I used to get invited to parties from the Mexican men I worked with at the farm I worked with. I loved the tamales so much.
They told me they were special and not everyday food. I can see why. That is a lot of work.

SCRUB BOARD
Am a new subbie! I 💖💕💖💕you & all your recipes!!! Good bless from Oakland, Ca.
How about a round metal rack with 2” legs, since aluminum is such a toxic heavy metal that does give off harmful vapors?
There are silicone steamer racks, like those for the steam hot pots. Would these be profitable at $9/Tamale?
Gramma held the husk down on her board, not held it, and she was a speedy one!
You are awesome. Thank you so much. ♡
Yum! Could you use a electric mixer to whip the lard?
Oh my all that work for 24 tamales oh but I enjoyed the video watched the whole thing!!!
I'm sorry if my response to your rude commenter caused any problems. Much love ❤

Loved the video, but you guys made me so hungry at 11:58….I doubt I'd ever make them, but I've eaten them many times and I do love them…love most all the Mexican food that I have eaten…some better than the other, but I will get some the next time I eat out….love to see your Mom on tv, she seems so sweet….I love the pancake she made at the end of the video, I think I could make those, less trouble I'd say….Have a question…maybe it will sound stupid but I thought Masa was a dry food like corn meal… the masa you were using looked like it may have been mixed with water or something….but don't recall seeing you make up the masa….or either I missed it…is it dry like corn meal & you have to mix it with liquid of some kind ?? I'll go back and watch the first of the video tomorrow, I could have stepped away from the table when I was watching this ….:)
Also, If anyone can't say anything nice then keep it moving & keep it to yourself. It's very difficult to product these tutorials and to mention anyone's Mother is totally unacceptable. We will pray for you! Find the love!
I am Dominican so we really don't eat Tamales. I found this tutorial very helpful. My husband loves Mexican & Dominican food. Thank you for this video. Going to buy what I need to make these.
OMG I finally made these for my judgmental mother-in-law and they were AMAZING! She was talking smack while I was making it and trying critique me but she actually absolutely loved the finished tamales. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!😊
Hi! I’m trying this for the first time and after an hour, they weren’t finished. It’s now going on 2 1/2 hours and the masa is still gummy and not cooked. 😬 Please help!
Damn…lost me w all that Aluminum. Aluminum scrambles the brain. I refuse to cook with it. Bummer.
Why not use a hand mixer for the lard? 🤨🤯 Edited Update: oops lol I guess I should of waited to comment. 😂
