Is it just an American thing where you have hot rice, warm milk, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl together and eat it for breakfast? Or is it just a MY family thing?

Please tell me Barry is kidding when he said, "I don't if butter rice exists…"! I'm honestly at a loss of words…I never thought I'd actually meet someone who didn't know that the concept of buttered rice didn't already exist, especially not someone who does YT cooking videos for a living. Usually buttered rice is very common way to serve rice in Western countries like the UK, US, and most parts of Europe.

I have to admit, it's kinda of amazing really, to see his child-like wonder from tasting buttered rice for the very first time. The twinkle in his eye and pure excitement when he realized that he may have actually "discovered" an previously unknown food combination, is just almost like watching your child take it first steps or a child on Christmas day opening presents. A state that can only be reached when dealing with someone with genuine child-like innocence or naivety discovering and experiencing new things. I guess it's moments like this, that truly make Barry…well, Barry! I wouldn't have it any other way, it's just too dang entertaining!

When it comes to the courgette sheets, I put ricotta, seasonings, egg (lasagna or stuffed shell filling) and shredded chicken inside the sheets, roll them up, and lay them in a pan, with preferred sauce under and overtop, sprinkle with a bit of cheese and bake! A white sauce can be delightful, but so can red, a wine sauce, meat sauce, etc.

Barry: fails "…." does same action again, whispering "No one needs to know…." puts clip in the video anyway x'D
Makes me think of a line from my favourite comedian "So long as we never admit it, we've never failed!"

Barry, a quick nerdy trick to make your post pop up at the required time (special effects style) would be to use a controlled plug and have the power to to the toaster cut at just the right moment. With most toasters this will release the lock down mechanism and the toast will pop up.
A hive plug could be used to do this for example with the hive app open on your phone. As you talk about toast you point at the toaster with one hand and you tap the app with the other hand to switch off the controlled plug …. Toast pops up … Magic

The sheet maker one with the veggies and stuff. Maybe the reason for it is to make the strips of the vegetable or whatever to make egg rolls or something like that.

Barry, mate, get yourself a microwave that has no spinning plate. They're a life changer. They heat up everything equally, the microwaves coming from the bottom "wall" of the microwave shooting vertically up across the whole plate/bowl. They take slightly longer than normal to cook to the same amount (like add an extra minute onto the cooking time) but they're definitely worth it for how evenly everything cooks. I only got one because stupidly I bought square plates and my old microwave couldn't fit them in, they didn't spin at all because the corners blocked movement.

But yeah the no-plate microwaves are great. They seem to all be bigger than normal microwaves too.

And for popcorn, they're so damn good. May seem like a minor thing, but yeah you know those microwavable bags of popcorn you can get everywhere? And in normal microwaves they always seem to not pop every kernel, there's always a bunch of hard teeth cracking kernels left, and it's really easy to accidently burn them? Yeah well these plateless microwaves fix all that, because the kernels fall to the bottom of the bag when the others pop, and the heat comes from the bottom of the microwave, EVERY kernel gets popped, and it doesn't burn them whatsoever (still keep an eye on it, mind, and take it out when popping is only happening every 3 seconds or so like it says on the box). Again it might be a minor thing, but damn it makes good popcorn.

I see no reason to ever go back to the old kind of microwave ever again in my life. This is the superior type of microwave for sure. Even if you have normal plates. Everything just cooks so much better, no need to take soup out to stir it halfway through and stuff like that, because it already cooks every part of it it equally and evenly
