If we're not using the smoked turkey wing, do we still let the stock simmer for about two hours? or do we just add the green beans and potatoes right away?

Could I add corn to it? And would it taste the same if I used sweet peas? I'm cooking the turkey wings now …. just trying to see my son don't like green beans, but I might cook him something else and continue cooking my dish.

8/18/18, had a smoked turkey leg in the freezer, and fresh green beans, so thought I'd try this recipe. Absolutely delicious! I fried a few chicken breast and made a quick pan of cornbread…but the green beans and potatoes made the meal awesome.

Girl, this dish looks SCREAMIN' good! This is one of those make you hit yo momma dishes! LOL! My sweet mom used to make this and silly me didn't get the recipe. She's gone on to glory now, so hopefully I can make her proud with your recipe. I've got my stuff ready! Going to make this recipe this weekend, along with some corn bread muffins to go with it. LOVE your videos, Carolyn. Everyone in your house must smile all the time. I'll bet you also get a lot of "…I was just in the neighborhood…" visits too. Lol!

Hey! Just found you yesterday. Are you a professional chef? In your early videos you were cooking on a huge professional stove with a griddle. What stove was that!? I fell in love with it. I'm looking forward to viewing all your videos. Nice to "meet" you.

I learned to make this from my grandmother but I don't do the stock that way I sauté my onion & garlic and put in Worcestershire and liquid smoke in with it then add in my smoked turkey, French style canned green beans, potatoes and chicken stock and water and seasoning all at once and let it simmer for a few hrs. I like your way of doing frozen green beans instead though I'm gonna to try this way out
