extremebudget #lowcaloriedensity #plantbased When I went WFPB vegan I had found The Starch Solution by Dr McDougal and LOVED his high starch / low fat …
I just have to say, these pancakes are probably my favorite ever!😍
I love your videos! And the simplicity of all your meals!
You may have done a video on this before I started following you… but do you take a b12 or vitamin D supplement? I’ve been mostly vegan for about a year now and I’ve not taken any supplements thus far. Thanks! ☺️
You mentioned that you made the mistake of eliminating fats in the beginning… Did you see any negative side effects?
You look fabulous! I'm really enjoying all your simple, approachable recipes ❤️ Random question, how tall are you?
There was no time for tagging on Instagram, the family devoured those pancakes. I used tapioca starch in place of cornstarch and I was amazed at how close the stewed berries were to blueberry syrup. I will absolutely be making more of these bad boys!
Hi Miranda. Thanks for sharing what you ate today. What you ate looks yummy and there doesn't seem to be a lot of preparation time for what you ate.
I would love to see a morning routine video! Also, to answer your question, I love red onions, regardless of whether they're raw or cooked.
I loved the apple butter on sweet potatoes idea!
I’ve been slacking on my workouts. You mentioned you work out in the morning. I’m thinking I need to switch to morning workouts . I get home from work late in the evenings and I’m too tired. Can you share what you’re doing in the mornings for workout? BTW I love your channel
Miranda Minion here. Love the spinach pancake idea!
I’ve got 2 ideas for you- brownie bites and dessert hummus! Maybe you’ve already done these but those came to mind and I wanted to share.
Also, super cute waves from your braids 👧🏻
where did you get the apple butter Miranda?
My favorite "protein shake" is pressure-cooked soybeans, water, bananas, cinnamon, peanut butter powder, freshly grated nutmeg, vanilla extract, blueberries or other berries, a very small parboiled sweet potato, a handful of raw kale, and enough ice to make it very cold. I also like to use white beans in my banana/peanut butter smoothies. At first, it seemed weird to put beans in a smoothie, but it became a habit when I realized how good it was!
I also first went plant-based for health, but later became vegan for the ethical concerns.
We call our smoothies milkshakes LOL
I also make them for my hubs, myself and two boys that love milkshakes.
I always use 1/2 c oats, 1 frozen nanner, small handful of spinach and probably a tsp of flax seed per person base then we do some PB 2 and cocoa powder or frozen cherries and a dash of vanilla extract.
I just made a bet with my brother. He's of the opinion that carbs make a person fat, so I bet him an Instant Pot, that he and I would eat nothing but white pasta, the kind that's supposed to make you fat as fast as possible, (the thick spaghetti, YUM!!!) with some sort of SOS-free, lowfat sauce, and that at the end of two weeks, neither of us would have gained a single ounce. He was instructed to eat until he was good and truly stuffed to the metaphorical gills, and as often as he desired. We drank water, tea, black coffee, and occasionally had lemonade sweetened with liquified dates.
In our case, we used lots of mushrooms, red peppers, tomatoes, and fresh greens, with a generous assortment of herbs and spices, to make simple marinaras; light white sauces were also made with unsweetened almond milk, perhaps with a few TBSP of nutritional yeast to add flavor, and maybe an olive or two per serving for added flavor. On the side was served rather small amounts of nonstarchy veg, and the only restriction on fruit was "no bananas, grapes, or avocados!" About 96% of calories came from pasta. The food was very good, too! But I digress…
After stuffing ourselves, really beyond comfort, day after day….and I made pizza from scratch a few times, adhering to the SOS-free lowfat regimen….not only did neither of us gain any weight, but we both LOST weight! I'm already rather slim, so a half pound for me, and for my overweight brother – 5.6 pounds! And we thought, "well….maybe it's water weight loss, from no salt in the diet, so we spent another week really salting the ** out of our food, still eating the pasta, pizzas, and we added potatoes for variety, and then after the next weigh-in, I hadn't gained or lost any weight, and my brother lost another 1.2 pounds!
You gotta understand, he REALLY tried to make himself gain weight…every meal was like an eating contest.
I'm really looking forward to my new Instant Pot…(but brother doesn't know it's his birthday present;)
Those pancakes, I’ll let you know how I like them! Thanks!!
I use Tahini and apple cider vinegar and a little maple syrup for a dressing. It’s so good. Do you like tahini? I put it on raw broccoli!! It’s sooo good!!!
I get up at 4:30am to be at work by 7a. Mornings include walking my dog at least 39 minutes and making sure all my meal prep components are gathered properly. I’d love to see an early morning routine video 👍👍👍
Amazing recipes! I'm so happy I found your channel!
Apple butter on sweet potatoes is genius!
Trying every single one of these meals next week and I can't wait!! Thanks girl 🤍
I wonder if viewers will ask, “Sure, you’re thin & gorgeous 💛 but what did you eat to lose 40lbs?” (I know it was w/ WW). IMO to who those reading this, the weight would’ve been lost on the same diet MiRanda is eating today.
Those pancakes! You should make them around Christmas time with strawberry topping and call them grinch cakes. Love it! Lol. I love that your meals are so easy with ingredients that are not specialty items. Thank you for sharing.
