Hello everyone. Thanks for checking out my Monthly Challenge Meal Prep video. Sorry its so long, but I made a lot of food this week to keep us on track for the 21 day challenge that is about to start. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail, right? What are you making this week for the 21 day challenge? Leave a comment below with your food choices.
Tim with the gloves! I love it! I wish I could get it together enough to batch cook like this, it's amazing! My goal this year, I will be 62 in a few days, is to eat WFPB. I want to lose 20 pounds and I want to be healthy. I have books, I watch you of course, so I have lots of information, I just need to get a system. My husband eats the all American diet so I just need to cook this way for me. Thank you, have a safe, blessed day. Mary from Maine
I make a batch of chili every week too. I also add some mushrooms. fire roasted corn and a cup of pumpkin.
LOL – you need to get yourself a set of those oblong measuring spoons that fit into those little spice jars. They're wonderful – you'll love them! You can keep the other set for when you need to scoop out of a bag, etc.
Nice video. I noticed you have an open 3-ring binder cookbook on your counter – don't know if you were following recipes in there, but my curiosity leads me to ask – What cookbook is it? Thanks. We love beans in our house too.
Interested in Timโs sourdough recipe and bread roasting pans. Joey great meal prep recipes . What recipes do you use for your sonโs pizza, do you precook the pizza crust and just add toppings and toast as he needs them ?
Thanks for doing your meal pre video, wish I had someone to clean up my kitchen! What brand are the the bread baking pans? Do you use them for anything else ?
what a GREAT video! I love seeing the real-life meal prep and love seeing both of you guys!!!!!!
Loved the longer video and all the great ideasโค๏ธ
Tim, so glad you joined in on this episode! Love your enthusiasm and sense of humor! Also appreciated the tips on ready to use items from Trader Joes.
This was SO helpful! Thanks for all your work!!!
If you put a damp paper towel under the cutting board it won't slide around. Love your videos!!
Nice job on the Worcestershire pronunciation, Joey! ๐ For those wondering, itโs Wuss-tur-shur, just like he said.
Make a large batch of oil-free hummus from your dried beans, and freeze it in smaller portions. You can make it in the Instantpot or stovetop. Make sure to remove as many "floating skins" that you can once it has been cooked. You can freeze it unflavored, or flavored. One suggestion is to freeze in empty tofu boxes or Souper Cubes, something so you have nice, square cubes that store nicely in your freezer and don't take up a lot of space. You can always remove once frozen and vacuum seal or store in ziplock bags. It works great blended with salsa or balsamic vinegars for creamy dressings, or add spices to it for a dip for veggies or on top of soups and potatoes.
Worcestershire sauce… "I don't even know how long this has been in the fridge" ๐คฃ
REALLY liking the longer, freestyle format of this video. Iโm definitely interested in more videos like this.
I like your recipe for the cheese powder. I currently purchase from Well Your World (who is in Phoenix) but the canister is so expensive ($15) and goes pretty fast. They use potato starch instead of cashews in the powder, but then add cashews during the process of making it in the Vitamix.
Your chili is one of my go to recipes, and I think about you saying not to stir every time!
Hi JOey. I always LOVE your demonstrations! Can I ask, what are in the dividers in your binder? And, I have a Vitamix too, will that little chopper work on any of them, did it require a special blade? Thank you. Cant wait to try the cheese powder.
Where did you get the bread pans? Iโd love to make your homemade recipe soon! I really love your cooking videos! Keep up the great work guys!!!
I love this longer video! Also the beard looks great!
That mac and cheese sauce sounds amazing. You might have said it and I missed it but how long does it stay good
in the pantry for?
Good video! Thanks! When I make beans in my ipot, I use less water so throwing out that goodness isn't necessary. It's so worth cooking a few things to dip into all week. This week, I'm making your corn casserole, pintos, Mujadara (one-pot lentils and rice), and everything soup (uses up any veg, beans, or grains left from last week.) I'm just getting over the virus, so decided to buy my bread this week. Whole Foods delivery is great for fresh produce and bread. Anyway, thanks again for another interesting video. I'm starting to feel like you're an old friend. Have a lovely day. God bless.
Thank you for sharing your meal prep with us. Have a wonderful day.
You sure did pack a lot of cooking action into a 53 minute video. Great to see you both in the kitchen during that time as well. Your food looks great as always. Joey, is it okay if we say your beard looks great, too?
I am probably the only one that was triggered by that open drawer. ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐ No? Just me?
Whoa you just changed my life with that Mac n cheese!! Canโt wait to test it out on my kids (who still eat tons of the vegan Annieโs boxes) thank you ๐๐๐
Another fantastic video Joey and the recipes are awesome and yummy ๐. Joey's a busy man. I don't take part in challenges when it comes to my diet. Love ๐ฅฐ the video and love ๐โค๏ธ Joey & Tim. Keep safe, warm and well.
I noticed we are both the same in that we don't like to waste food ; ) Did you know you can leave 2-3 inches on your green onions and put them in a small glass of water. They will keep growing and it's fun to watch on the kitchen window!
You are so inspirational for men! Thank you! Love your meals and suggestions.
Thanks for filming your awesome meals for the week. Great to see some bread making with Tim, too! Iโm going to look for the cheese powder recipe, looks so convenient to keep on hand.
I usually do potatoes in the instant pot and then some broccoli Cheeze soup or chili. Sometimes I make a pot of pinto or canary beans. Tons of salad stuff and fruit.
Great video. Going to make the mac & cheese mix. Thank you
My freezer is packed with my left over bread ๐ I make so much of it for just the two of us and I do the same thing with mine and I make breadcrumbs as well.
Wow, that was a lot of work, but worth it. No Sprouts or Trader Joeโs near me, but Whole Foods recently started carrying oil free hummus & similar pumpernickel bread ๐ Great video ๐
