Getting real with you here. Food addiction (carb and sugar addiction) is a very real serious problem of mine. The first 11 weeks …
Thank you for sharing, just know you are not alone and hearing your story is helping me and others.
I am 67 years old and still have food addiction. If I have to have something unhealthy, I seek personal size when possible. You're right. Sometimes, it doesn't taste as good as I remember .
Quinoa, wild rice and oatmeal are great ways to get carbs.
Things go up and down.
You can do it.
This is sooooo relatable. I am week 5 in Keto and it’s like the addiction flip is switched off. I know if I eat sugar/carbs/soda, the switch turns on FULL BLAST and I have never in 40 years been able to control it. Thanks for the video!
Love your honesty!! Just found you – looking forward to more.
Food IS Always more delicious when WE try to eat healthy, a strong why IS the Key for dedication, good sharing
Hi Stephy
So lovely to meet you and begin following your journey
I have just lost 95 pounds on Keto just going into my weights journey now.
Excited for your progress !!!!
Hi Stephanie 🙂 I’m new! Girlyyy! Your before and afters.. I am so excited to cheer you on!! Subbed for sure! I appreciate your honesty. Gotta go all out for date night 💯 just know your triggers and try to stay away.. I know it’s hard. I hate when the foods don’t satisfy. Before you eat them.. just think about how it won’t satisfy you. Thank you for sharing, happy I found you 🙂
This was an excellent video- great content and I identified with that 'food voice' in your head totally. I so get it. I have been golden recently and then over the weekend my high school Bestie came in town and I lost it. Been on the struggle bus this week.. 90% on but a dip off here and there. We all know how that can run away with us! I find that heavily restricting backfires on me (that is what I tried to do) so I'm just going to focus on making really delicious lc/keto foods and getting back on track fully. Thanks for this wonderful and honest video!
My pattern has always been similar to yours. I always ‘woke the beast’ and couldn’t stop once the carbs and/or sugar were a part if my diet. I always beat myself up and thought something was wrong with me until it dawned in me – how can so many people have exactly the same problem and resultant weight gain and have something ‘wrong with them’? It helped me (emotionally) when I realised that when carbs and sugar where around, when our ancestors stuffed themselves with those carbs and sugar (and couldn’t stop), they were the ones that survived famine later on. Almost everyone else likely died from lack of food. Those that survived had babies & hundreds of years later, here we are in a world of plentiful food with the same caveman responses. This knowledge doesn’t help when the beast awakens but it helps me understand that there in nothing wrong with me (or you), it is simply survival genetics causing our ‘can’t stop’ responses. This may not help you, just another way to look at it. I noticed too that if I awaken the beast, it can put it back to bed if I eat a low carb protein bar that contains a carb blocker. Don’t ask me why, but it seems to work for me.
How can our bodies gain so much weight in such a short period of time! I told my boyfriend how much I gained over a weekend once and he said "really? THat's like a lot of weight". I wish it 'disappeared' just as quickly! I love that you are working to hold yourself accountable and working with your food addiction Food addiction is a nasty spiral!!! Self perpetuating! You've got this. YOu are taking the time to learn more about yourself….to gain strength and learn what is working for you. "Not this time" That was The BEST line!!!!

What did I miss? I just watched a haul video for the carnivore diet…
Either way, I support you!
I'm in my 9th month with no free days, I still don't trust that I can get right back on track and not eat all of the carbs. Hearing your struggles helps, I would be in the exact same place. This time of year is already proving to be tough. Thinking about all the baked goods and holiday treats. It really is a mental battle.
This is so awesome. Such an inspiring content. Thanks for sharing this and more power to your inspiring lifestyle…,
