Eating at the world’s first Filipino Michelin star restaurant in Chicago and it was one of the best 13-course meals I’ve had there.
Yum yum
This is like 10% Filipino food…I bet you 99% of Filipinos haven't even tried Wagyu beef lol including myself. Filipino inspired but not really a Filipino restaurant.

Come to Brazil Mike. I would love to show you our good places. We have a new hot pot place too!
Greetings from Sรฃo Paulo.
Thank you for loving our filipino food โฅ๏ธ
I love asian food but i think Chinese and korean is the best…and i love Thai ..its hard to decide ๐คฃ
Love this video- so positive
I love Filipino food! I've spent time in the Philippines and had eaten the best traditional dishes and also many street style food.
The presentation here looks great, but the ingredients are way more Euro-Asian fusion than Filipino.
But if the food tasted Filipino yummy good, that's all that matters… unfortunately I won't find out since I can't afford to eat at a Michelin star cafe lol!
I think a Michelin star would ruin Filipino food. Itโs meant to be mom and pop like cuisine.
Looks great but Michelin star means nothing. It's a tire company LMAO.
Looks amazing but is that really Filipino food? Russian caviar, Japanese wagyu, Chinese and Japanese mushrooms, European smoked salmon? Middle eastern flatbread? French honey cheese truffle croissant? Looks delicious but seems like a weird claim that it's Filipino.
YUM ๐
It's no longer a Filipino dish
Hey there are a number of Michelin star restaurants in the Philippines.
I'm from Chicago and I'm also Filipino!!! I've only had the breakfast at Kasama and it passed the taste test for me…. Glad we got represented ๐ต๐ญ๐บ๐ธ
That is not a very Filipino food๐
I think it's another great way to introduce Filipino food to the world. Well done, Kasama for breaking the barrier.
Ehh..not your best video. Appreciate the content tho.

Tinola!
I can never understand such insanely small portion sizes
That Michelin Filipino food is a bit of a disappointment. Im not disregarding how it will taste and all that. But it lose out what it makes it a Filipino food.
Did Mike Chen seriously just say "intestine" instead of "instes-TINE"??? Haha great video, bro!
No wonder it is michelin starred, its not real filipino food. I dont care if our filipino restaurant is not michelin starred, but i want real filipino food. What makes that into a lumpia when they used vietnamese rice paper? That is a vietnamese wrap, not a lumpia during the first few minutes of the video, and don't even get me started with their take on the pancit and adobo.
Do you always like everything? Has there been anything you didnt like? ๐
Michelin Star Filipino Restaurant? Really? Wow, first time I ever heard of it! Wow, just wow!!!
Those Filipino food is still recognizable Filipino cooking but it so chefy some grannies would be angry ๐๐คฃbut him always makes me both angry and hungry๐ angry because I can't eat what his eating and hungry because of the things he is eating ๐๐ Good Job๐๐๐๐โ.
Its just 95% Fancy and expensive with a 5% pilipino Touch
this is filipino food? im wheezing ๐คฃ
Whenever I see a new video of his he looks older and fatter. Dunno if married life suits him and his teachings. He looks horrible.
I get it, he is Chinese, pretty sure his family forced him to settle, but I just dont see it.
Those massive plates for those small bites, I don't know if they are trying to make it seem worth it for your buck.
Just reminds me of how people say guys with "small packages" like to drive big cars.
Still a small dish and the bigger plate only make it look smaller.
National dish of the Philippines adobo but mushroom? Howโs that taste like?
Mike's reaction at 16:38 – 16:47 is just priceless. HAAHHAHA
It is more fusion than Filipino food.
If you like to taste authentic Pinoy food, there are several in California area.
But the way you ate it, and the presentation is really superb๐
Never seen any of those dishes at any Filipino restaurant Iโve been to
Jokes right?
Honestly just to hear him describe the food and how it was presented was very extravagant and every bit of gourmet. However I'm sorry for whoever's going to read this comment, but I swear to God it look nothing more than a Japanese Filipino fusion. With heavy on the Japanese. I praise them to get a Michelin star, cuz it's very difficult to get one, however I did not see Filipino food here.
Everything is one bite
I was just thinking when will mike chen upload a Filipino content.. I guess I'm psychic huh?
christine hasgrest taste live your shirt
Sarap abaaa
Congrats, Kasama! Not all of those dishes felt right, coming from a Filipino that grew up on Lola's cooking, but they all looked delicious and they definitely weren't afraid to try out new things and really bring a gourmet feeling to Filipino food, reaching new people that might not have tried it before.
That giant beef pot at the end had me squealing, it was practically ALIVE with how much it was boiling. XD Looked great, and hope you didn't burn your tongue/throat/mouth!
Thanks so much for always making my meal times a bit more delicious by watching it with you, Mikey. ^^
Nice vids, u keep making gr8 content. Keep it up u nerd
Their traditional versions are already good but their glorified fusion versions looks really good and elegant. Itโs a must try for every Filipino who wants to judge it themselves
Itโs not the typical filipino food if you see caviar, japanese wagyu beef, squid ink pasta in the menu. Dishes look good but I was hoping it to be more traditional in terms of flavor and ingredients.
Its more fusion cuisine than Filipino cuisine.
I've been following for a long time and I like the diversity. I would love to try a restaurant like this. it's like you get to sample each dish without feeling stuffed. love it!๐ฅฐ
That looks and sounds great! ๐๐๐๐๐
These are NOT Filipino Food.
