I’ve already reviewed the mini duo model and if you want to see that review, I’ve put a link in the description below. I will go over the differences between the Lux and the Duo in another video. This Lux model is the least expensive Instant Pot you can buy. It’s 700 watts. 11.5 inches long, 10.5 inches wide and 10.5 inches tall. It weighs 8.5 lbs. The cord is about 30 inches long.
The inner pot is stainless steel and holds 3 quarts. There is a ⅔ line marked in the pot and you shouldn’t fill above this line. If you’re making foods that expand like rice or beans, don’t fill above the ½ line. Included is plastic spoon and ladle, measuring cup, steam rack, condensation collector, quick reference guide, instruction manual and recipe booklet with recipes for soups, salads, quinoa, rice, beans, meat and desserts like cake and creme brulee. You can use heatproof dishes, jars, mugs and springform pans in this unit. There is a cooking timetable for rice, beans, meat and vegetables. It’s very thorough. The only thing about the recipes – I wish they would have specified if each recipe would work in
this mini since it’s much smaller than the next largest Instant Pot at 5 qts. I guess because the mini is a newer model and they probably didn’t have time to update the recipe book. Instant Pot does suggest cutting most recipes in half to use in the Mini. I’ve made chicken curry in the Duo model review if you want to have an idea of how much meat you can fit in the Mini. I’ll also upload some other recipes for the Mini, so subscribe to stay tuned for those and you can save time with experimenting.
