Miss Phillis had major surgery & Mr Bucky has been taking care of her. Then he became ill & passed away in July. She still has some procedures to have done. Please keep her in your prayers as this was a shock to her & all of us.

Oh how glad my heart is to see you up and around. Poor Steely having to share his bed, that is so nice of you Mr. Steely. You two take care of your Mama. She has lots of people who love her and miss seeing her. Hugs to you and the pups.

I recently got an InstaPot and appreciate your ribs recipe. (My Mom said it was to share stories and tales about their life. She probably just told us that.) Ms Phyllis, you take care of yourself!! Praying for you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🌸

Yes, I am southern, back in the day, bodies were at home in the Coffin, and someone always sat up in wake w/the body. No, it was nothing to do w/swatting flys. Now we do visitation, then it was called Wake. I remember an uncle passing, no one worked me as a child, that when we walked in front door, his body
Would be at the wall coming in. Eeeeeeek, I knew better than to freak, I looked away. Someone
Sat up w/him. The home I have was built in 1800s, the hallway is wide and long, it has an indentation in the wall, Where back in the day, a coffin would fit there. I suppose maybe some still do the wake at home, but I bet not many.
