Re.: translation of "catcalling", I believe the official Danish word is "gadechikane" (street harrassment). I am not, however, aware of a colloquialism of the word.

No, I had no idea what cat-calling meant, but I looked it up, and saw a lot of examples.
I see a lot of that being used in just about any American movie or TV series. I'd say it was also something you heard now and then in Denmark, maybe 30 years ago. But it has become something of a rare thing, being looked down upon.
I'm a guy, so haven't been exposed to catcalling myself, but as an example, I had a gf, who had lived in London, for some years, and she told me, how she could not walk by a construction site, without getting a lot of comments, in the catcalling category, as I now understand it's called.
But this was also almost 40 years ago, and maybe things gave changed in the UK as well.

My 5 cents. Despite not being religious the majority is raised on rules based on religious texts like the 10 conmendments. And we are not questioning them but they are just a part of the culture

I think you kind of described the Danish attitude when stating USA saw the body as private, But in Denmark that privacy is "given". By this I mean that you will receive that privacy by others, so that they will not openly look at your body in public or discuss sensitive subjects unless you indicate you want to discuss them and show them. In short those naked men made a personal choice. A show and tell performance. Your choice if you want to ignore it or indicate I see you.
Nude Danish adults at the beach are just like Danish kids at the beach. You do not really see them unless it is okay to see them.

Cat calling seems to be derogatory,,,,,,,something in Denmark that would be comparable would be mostly complimentary……..
A solid part of Danish society, norms and even laws are religiously based,BUT an developing religion…not stuck in the 14th century…..we see a lot of public Americans as ‘sissys’, ‘prissys’…..etc……everyone to their own, but the American way of imposing own views on Anybody else is…..naaah..
