Yes cost effective and make our money stretch as far as we can is the key nowadays and yet no compromise on quality. Have a Blessed Day to you and your family.

Nasi goreng is indeed the best fried rice recipe for me personally. That umami flavor punch from sambal terasi is just special & way too nostalgic. My mom still cook the same nasi goreng since I was a child, altough instead of just chicken, she only or both added meatballs & sausages for variety of meat textures. It's just a superior taste imo LOL

I will try it .I have already eaten it in an Indonesian restaurant in Yokohama and it was so tasty.
Right now i don't have the shrimp paste you are using so do you think I can replace it by the shrimp paste sold here in Japan?

Also, wanted to add…it might not be the way restaurants make it, but at home you can put almost any veggies you want in there. And you can use pretty much any kind of meat you want, too. AND you can totally make it with the precooked rice packages from the grocery store if you’re on a clock and you don’t have any day-old rice on hand.

Lastly, it is NEXT LEVEL AMAZING with Indonesian peanut sauce on top of it, and some additional ketjap manis drizzled over that…mostly for visuals, but also for that little sweet, syrupy kick.

In conclusion…is Nasi Goreng the absolute BEST way ever invented to repurpose your leftover meat and veggies? Yes. Yes it is. 😁👍

Takeout made at home is best saving $$$ & super healthy nutritious meal in a flash. Fresh veges on the side compliments your taste buds. You can experiment add whatever you like swap up meats & veges of choice. I would add some spring onions garnish or coriander & radishes to crunch on. A great fine meal to enjoy with family & friends super impressive. I'm taking mine on an outdoor picnic at the beach 🌻❤☺
