NEW VIDEO: JUICY AND CRISPY TURKEY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6FfsiAZx5Q Sous vide a perfect juicy turkey breast in the Instant Pot Smart …
Enjoying a re-re-re (?) watch of this video. This Christmas after my mom's death we aren't doing a standard Christmas but I do want to have some turkey meat because my daughter is expecting #3 and has hyperemesis gravidarum so if I can cook some turkey meat ahead of time (and be juicy) to serve cold with some gluten free rolls for her it would hopefully be something she could keep down. 'The Plan' for Christmas food is just some nice nibbles that are non-smelly, easy to digest and still delicious. So I knew from past viewings that this was the video to watch. Thank you for blessing us, your viewers, with such great and useful content. Flo and Dude, Merry Christmas and may Christ continue to bless your family and your channel.
I believe you are to put the lid on when heating the water.
Looks so wonderful! Very nice video if you can silence the negative comments coming from behind the camera π. You do a great job of providing just enough details and showing follow along close-ups. Just purchased an instant pot (not the smart one) so may get a separate Sous Vide stick. Great job!
that look like it tastes Bland who only season with salt and pepper
The man shows no respect very bossy
What size is your Instant Pot Duo?
I like the way you did that that was awesome , How did it taste?
Does it mean the ultra function in the instant pot can be used as sous vide?
How long under the broiler for the different parts, dark vs light π
Your Ziploc was inside out.. I guess you realised
Iβm in UK what you call a broiler we call a grill.
wow, just 2 hours for sous vide……Just doesn't seem like long enough for 145 deg. Definitely one I'm going to do – but just breast only. That is BONELESS – right? Sprouts sells turkey parts and I'm just a "party of one" – so breast – maybe thighs too….
I can't wait to cook a turkey with this method looks very delicious will let you know how it comes out. Thank you.
Thank YouππΌ π§‘MS Awarenessπ§‘
Thank YouππΌ
Thank YouππΌ
One additional tip….put the trivet in the bottom so water can circulate around the bag more easily.
Happy Thanksgiving! I've got a new IP Ultra and can't wait to test out the Ultra setting to try a turkey breast. Do you think it would work if I left the breast intact with the bone?
Just curious, I have a 10/1 ultra. What setting do I use for this sous vide?
Excellent! I think I can do this…thanks!
Hi, Do you think the Joulie would have given you better results?? π§B/c u seem really happy with how this turned out. πππ½ππ½ππ½
My sister-in-law (RIP) had a similar problem with a turkey that did not thaw completely. She put it in the dishwasher and ran it through a cycle. Problem solved. I miss her.
Have you tried butterflying an entire breast, putting stuffing on inside and then rolling up for sous vide?
Mmmmmm ππππππππππππππ
I'm overwhelmed with the versatility of these pots. Thank you for sharing.
That looked SO AWESOME! I never thought about Sou s Vide in the Instant Pot (I need a second one anyway) Thank you so much… and I echo the comments that your husband is a lucky guy and that you say "He does OK" (ha ha… he, as Dave Ramsey always says… doing better than he deserves)
Merry Christmas from a new subscriber, keep up the great vids
Hi For future reference when you defrost in the fridge it is 1 DAY for each 5 pounds.I am not sure what that is converted to the metric system, sorry.
I can tell you are aware of the qualities of good food!
Is there any concern for toxins leeching from the plastic bag into the food?
Hi! Excited to try this since my husband is not impressed with turkeyβs so far. Is the Smart only used to maintain the temperature? I am guessing a thermometer in there will do the same. I just got my Duo yesterday and donβt think the hubs will approve another IP without wowing him with food first, lol!
I'm sure you Already know this, but the Instant Pot is fantastic for making mashed potatoes!
Thank you! It looked delicious … Yum!
script no longer on the recipe page. Dropbox said " no longer lives here"
wit Instant pot, you can over cook it and mess up, Sous Vide is simpler and way to go !
Actually this can be done without the Instant Pot Smart but the Instant Pot Smart probably gives you better control and thus better results. The Instant Pot staff does not specify which Instant Pot they use but they take advantage of the warm setting. See http://instantpot.com/sous-vide-duck-breast/
Damn, now I regret not buying the IP version
After the second 15 minutes in the Duo, did you do a QR or an NPR?
Ok Flo, you've won me over. I'm just curious to know how much liquid did you have in the IP when you were pressure cooking the legs, thighs and wings? Also, we loved Cam(eraman) Dan a.k.a. Cam Dan cameo video verdict. I'm not a big Turkey person, but this video recipe seemed simple enough and came out great!
