Are you sure about that? Respectfully, here’s 5 spots we think are worth a try, and maybe come to the defense of the many …

Im going to have to agree that East Coast Mexican is subpar compared to West Coast.

Also, you seem to like AOC so im guessing your judgment is slightly shit.

He ruined the whole vibe by showing up with a communist that isn't even Mexican šŸ™„ that chic is getting less and less popular in her own district.

Itā€™s not that there arenā€™t any. Iā€™m sure there are anomalies in NYC but Texas and Cali (and pretty much the entire southwestern states) got that Mexican food on lock.

There just arenā€™t many Mexicans in NYC to have that same impact.
The same way there arenā€™t that much Puerto Ricans and Dominicans in Cali or Texas.

I went to NY for the first time last month, we tried a couple Mexican spots, they were missing something! Iā€™m from LA! We got the best mexican food almost in every corner! I got some carnitas yesterday from carnitas El Momo, some of the best I ever had! Hard to find bad Mexican food here šŸ’Æ

It looks legit , honestly you can cook good anywhere as long as you got the right ingredients and know the recipe, what I tell people that anyone can cook is not rocket science, once you got the recipe down it comes down to salt and spice to taste. If you change the recipe dramatically do expect the food to taste like crap šŸ˜‚

It's like comparing Mexican food from Mexico to "mexican food" from California and Texas, there is absolutely no comparison. The food from Mexico will always be better and superior than the "mexican food" from California and Texas. You have entire Americanized chicano and Mexican-American generations all over the Southwest who try to do "mexican food". In NYC you have a whole bunch of fresh from the border Poblanos and other Mexicans who literally still have the clothes they brought over with them who do it better and know the traditions. Mexican food will ALWAYS be better when it comes from those who come straight from Mexico even if they're far or close to the border. I'll stick with authentic NYC Mexican food made by real Mexicans rather than Americanized "mexican food" made from Chicanos and pochos who live 5 minutes from the border and still can't cook lmao.
