This is an old recipe, pretty much as I’ve been doing it ever since I can remember, and not far removed from how my mother did it when she was raising three …
Those ole skool pressure cookers are iron clad they will never die, that meat was fork tender blessed and highly favored just like you thanks for sharing your love chef.
I just scored a vintage Maitre's pressure cooker and your video was so helpful in instructing how to use it!! The food looks decadent too!
This man is a joy to watch.
Thank you Sir for sharing your knowledge with us.
✌🏼❤
Cinnamon is above touch
Greetings from Tennessee!
Looks so good my mouth is salivating❗️
John, After adding your veggies pressure 'less' than 10 mins… maybe 4 mins. Your veggies will be nicely done & NOT too mushy. TY for the wonderful tips on 'browning the roast' and different seasonings.
Broke out the All American Pressure Cooker Model 921…Fantastic…Thanks
Thanks man! its just past midnight and i happened across your vid. Guess what I'm about to start doin now cause you just made me so damn hungry. Luckily i have all the ingredients in your dish and a brand new pressure cooker i just bought. Well done, ya got me good…lol
Everyone uses instapots! I don’t have one so thanks for this.
Looks GREAT👍😊
Great meal my friend, I love it!!
The last few seconds,I was drooling in my lap..
Shook the tasting spoon back over the food. Ugh.
You don't put the bottom rack thing in there when cooking ?
Why didn't pill the potato's?????
Buddy, I am ready for dinner. Love old fashioned home food. You did great!.
looks delicious.
You just got a new subscriber! Glad to see these classic cooking methods are still around. Wish I'd paid more attention when my mom was still with us. Thank you so much.
I would have done one thing different. Before adding to flour to the gravy, I would have sucked the grease off the top with a turkey basting bulb.
Those were tablespoons bro
so i guess about 1 hour (approx.) to pressure cook the roast…i thought it was supposed to be something like 3 hours (i did it 3 hours and it was super tender, pulled apart with a fork)…so i only need to do it for an hour ??? only pressure cooked one time so i am a rookie but willing to learn !!!
Did somebody tell you to shut up? Let me tell you something Mister. You are doing everything right. You got the cast iron pan ( looks like it ) which is better than the non stick pans, it is proven the chemical coating is terrible for human ( we are ) and above all you still got your your old fashion pressure cooking pot. Good for you. You know the new ones are called " instant pot"? It uses the same cooking method, pressurized. Like for instance the old fashion blender is now call the Bullet, same thing. The dish looks yummy, I noticed somebody confirmed already the dish tastes great ! Thumps up!
Puppy? How gross. Seriously, you couldn't use a measuring spoon and had to use the palm of your hand? I think you need a cooking-hygiene lesson.
Yehhh…finally I see a proper pressure cooker. I have a 1973 kitchen craft pressure cooker. Got it fixed and will never part with it. It has made some amazing foods. I would never trade it for an new instant pot.
Nice kitty

Piggery, that describes myself when I cook pot roast, lol.
Love the old fashioned stove settings. My grandmother had: medium, medium-high, semi-high, and high Great video! <3
Get in ma belly as we Scots say lol
I'm so going to make this next week in my ninja foodi max. I remember those old fashioned pressure cookers and it scared the life out of me when it juggled. Even my wee Mammy God bless her was scared of it.
Why not sear in the bottom of the pressure cooker? That way all the flavors then mix with the beef stock. Also less cleanup.
That came out looking great!
Bacon lard is the greatest! Crisco is poison!!!
I lost my Mirror Matic pressure cooker like the one you're using in a tornado in 2015. I've tried several others and none of them are as easy to use. Surely do miss it.
This looks like my moms pressure cooker that blew up.. put instant pot on your holiday list. Thank you for recipe!
the first step would be to learn how to hold knives, can't trust a cook without knife skills. Besides your technique is dangerous.
That needed Guinness thrown in too!!
Can you store bacon grease and how instead of just pouring in the jar and thrown it way
How much water do you put in there for the time you want to cook it
Yes sir get the edges we love the gravy good job
That more looks like soup to me
Add in some cornstarch and get some gravy out of this. My mom never used the pressure for a roast however she put roasts in it to make shredded BBQ beef. IT was outstanding. The oven and a cooking bag for roasts. Looks great. Too bad I went vegan. This is the kind of meal you want to share with another human being so you can both say, yum at the same time.
New sub by the way.
What is cornbread? We don't have that here in Scotland UK.
I remember my Mum cooking that way and it was a pain in the arse. I'll stick with my Ninja foodi. Good old fashioned video & it fairly takes me back.
