I want to thank you so much for your channel….
We are a family of 5 living in a suite hotel right now. We've been "homeless" for a few years now and I've learned a lot about cooking for my family without a oven and while the motel has a built in range, microwave and full size fridge…. the range doesn't get very hot so I use an electric skillet.
With the economy being so bad right now after we pay for a roof over our heads and any other bills we have, sometimes all I have left to buy groceries for the week is about 35 to 100 dollars….I don't have a car but luckily live in walking distance to a few dollar stores.
We are thrilled that we may actually be able to move into a house in the next few months!!!
Until then I'm binge watching ALL your videos.
    Again, thank you so much.

I know I can cook my instant rice with hot or warm tap water and by setting the gladware container in the sun but I didn't even consider that some of those 'easy meals' could be cooked in a thermos simply by leaving them in for a bit longer with hot water. Thank you so much again for these extra tips! I've been living off of tuna and saltines quite a bit lately.

Rebecca, I just saw the dollar store piece that NBC News uploaded 13 hours ago, and you're featured in the video! And you didn't tell us because you're so modest, but I'm glad I caught it: you really are making a huge difference and people are noticing. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Great ideas in your video. For staying in a hotel, I strongly recommend the Dash egg bite cooker, because you can fry a burger, a grilled cheese, make an egg and toast, and lots of other things. If you happen to have a hybrid car, you might even want to hook up an inverter and use it in the car.

Also love that your meals have balanced food groups as well as great recommendations & options! Using rice, canned chicken w/gravy or can chicken & can cream of chicken/mushroom/celery makes a good gravy chicken quick and easy. It’s also with toasted bread instead of rice like cream chipped beef kind of.

This is excellent! My brother just moved into a rooming house with a shared kitchen but no stove. He has a dorm size fridge in his room. These are perfect tips for him and the best part is you have nutritious ingredients. I'm sending him this link for sure.

Loved this vid! My husband & I were homeless for an entire year before we finally got our Section 8 apt/house. Sometimes we could afford a weekly room but often slept in the car in a hospital parking lot. Many of your tips I learned myself through trial and error❤ During that time I started a job at Kroger and hoped not to appear as if I had slept on a park bench. Good news i kept that job for 3 years.🎉
