WOW! I just made yogurt with the Fairlife and itโ€™s AMAZING!! Just a note, since the IP doesnโ€™t need to come to pressure, I removed the sealing ring so my yogurt doesnโ€™t have any lingering flavor. I will try a different milk for my next batch! Thank you for a great video!

So I ended up making this yogurt yesterday. And got a bag of frozen blueberries and pureed them and mixed it together in the yougurt. Plus put some vanilla and swarve in it as well. It came out so flipping amazing. Thank you for sharing. It helped a lot.

Looks good, and a lot of info. I made hard boiled eggs in my instant pot a few weeks ago, and unfortunately there was cross contamination flavors from previous meals. (Lower carb chili) what is an easy way to prevent this?

A little tip for using your instant pot for hard boiled eggs. Tap them lightly on the counter until you see a tiny crack appear in the shell. After you take them out of their ice bath the shell will just slide off. It really helps with farm fresh eggs.

Here's a use for the leftover whey that is probably useful to exactly no one: Feed whey to your pigs! Happy pigs turn into bacon, the ultimate keto food. Chickens also like whey. My pigs and chickens eat all my leftover kitchen scraps.

That is not called yogurt. It is called โ€œLebniโ€. You can find it in any Middle eastern market. And yes, you can make it yourself.
Add some olive oil and dry mint and spread it on pita bread or Keto bread with slices of cucumber. Makes a great wrap.

You don't have to use ultra pasteurized milk, i've only ever used regular pasteurized whole milk and it's fine 100% of the time. I used to make yogurt and cheese from my own raw goats milk and that's been fine as well as long as you have clean milking habits. For anyone in Canada the Liberte plain greek yogurt has been the best store bought starter i've found. You can also order just yogurt culture from Caprine Supply, keep it in the freezer but it makes a very good yogurt!! Thanks for the nutrition break down Aaron, very informative!

I've been making my own keto yogurt with Krogers Carbmaster milk. The carbs and calories are half of Fairlife. I am not sure the final product macros because I dont think the whey is the same as traditional milk (a lot of my numbers came out as negatives ๐Ÿ˜…). But it works and is tasty enough.

Thank you Aaron I've been wanting to finally use that yogurt function. You make it easy to understand. I prefer that cream cheese thickness as well. Can't wait to see the results. Keep em coming.๐Ÿ‘ Hi Sarah๐Ÿคš

Google "GAP yogurt". If you ferment it in the Instant Pot for 24 hours you increase the beneficial bacteria by a factor of 10 and decrease any remaining lactose/galactose. I use Organic Valley Grass Milk with cream on top that is only pasteurized not homogenized but I boil it first in the Instant Pot using the yogurt function setting for that and then cool to 110 F in a water bath and then add the Fage Total 5% and then ferment for 24 hours. I don't strain it.

    Instapot yogurt is the best!!
I have used alot of different milks the one I like the best i got from Whole Food and it had the cream still in it. OMG I can't remember the name of it. I also make it with regular milk for my dog's and chickens they love it.

Soooo….as someone else has said, whey is a great starter for more yogurt. You can ferment veggies with whey(if you eat them). It works well as a meat tenderizing marinade.
Those little hard-working bacteria can do wonders for your plumbing, toilet or septic system. I know many organic gardeners who use it to water and foliar feed plants. Houseplants benefit, too. If you make sprouts, add it to rinse water.
Your pets gut health will benefit, just ease them into it, or you will risk little gushy presents all over the place…cuz even though cats are a higher life form, they are a little sketchy on how toilets work….๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
No, you can't convert it to gasoline or bring about whirled peas, but it is pretty useful stuff…๐Ÿ˜˜

I've been making this yogurt for a long time, mostly for my dogs. But because it is SO low carb I do eat it sometimes.
It doesn't eat ALL of the lactose but I count mine as 3g net carb per cup of yogurt. I also don't strain mine, I like it a little thinner. I have gotten the best results with Nancy's whole milk cream top yogurt as a starter.

So did I read it correctly, that the Fairlife one is 2ish grams of carbs and Horizon one is 11 grams of carbs, for a 7 ounce serving? If so, that is a tremendously huge difference in carbs! Or is it a mistake?

You can use leftover whey as a starter for your next batch of yogurt! Just freeze it until you need it. I donโ€™t do cold start though, so you may have to try it and see if it works.
