Why don’t you just put the broth on low pressure for 6 hours instead of running 3 cycles?
Maybe this is a stupid question. But why do you run it through three cycles of 120 minutes instead of just setting the pot for six hours -can you set the pot six hours? New instant pot user here 🙂
Yay! Your method worked for me. I have gelled bone broth. I'm so excited!
How many times do you use the bones to make the broth???
HOT TIP-
saute the bones in the instant pot before you add liquid.
Thank-you for sharing your knowledge
Lol u said u gonna feed your chickens the chicken bones and its gonna be a treat for them 😂🤣
Darlin’, you apron pattern matches your towel that’s hanging waist-high, behind you. Kitchen camouflage? Thank you for your vid.
Don't encourage your chickens to become cannibals… 😅
Is it 2 pounds of chicken bones and 1 quart water to get it to gel. I tried it one and it did not gel for me.
Thanks, Lisa. I know this is an older video but it was perfect for making bone broth this year. Happy Thanksgiving 2019!
Question I followed your instructions as close as I could with a turkey carcass…I believe I let it sit too long in my instant pot? When I tasted the broth it tasted bitter, should I have kept it or gotten it in the fridge sooner?
I love your videos and you make things simple! I’m wondering why you do 120 minutes at a time? instead of setting it for example for 4 hours
Hi Lisa! So my question is….. If you don't an to use the broth within a week, are you able to can it? Not sure how to do that but I'm sure it can be done! ❤️
Can you scoop out one serving of the mason jar when the bone broth is gelled and heat separately or do you have to heat the whole jar to liquify it and pour one serving out?
Can you do a video about your experience on the gaps diet?
According to Louise Hay and Heather Dane in 'The Bone Broth Secret' adding apple cider vinegar does not drawn nutrients from the bones. Research debunked that myth years ago.
Why do you do 3 sets of 120 minutes and not one of 360 minutes?
thank you for this very nice video!
Hi do you think running it through three times you are losing nutrients at that temperature?
All the other Bone Broth videos I looked at use High Pressure. Why do you use low pressure?
Do you allow the instant pot to do a slow release between each 120 minute session? Or do you do a quick release of pressure?
Should use organic / grass fed chicken or beef.
I put chunks of ginger in my bone broth.
I do it 360 minutes – the bones fall apart
If the 🐔 only knew that they are eating their relatives , they probably run away 😂
Why do u have to run it through 3 times? What if you pressure cook for a longer time will that work?
Did u say you feed your chickens the left over chicken bones?
You kinda look and sound like Scarlett Johansen
Can I be adopted ❤️
I’m going to try your method with the insta pot. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work.
Just had fun reading some of the comments about feeding chicken bones to chickens. 😊 I live on a tropical island and we have a lot of chickens running around-no one owns them- I’ve watched chickens eat anything from donkey poop to other dead chickens etc. 😉 Very eclectic diet.
Does bone broth from instant pot has the same health benefits (aka extracted minerals , collagen and ither godness) as the one from stove top/slow cooker?
Really profited from your clear explanation & step by step procedure . Thank you.
Brilliant! What if I want to use a stockpot instead cuz I don’t have an instant pot? How much time should I leave it? And how much water should I put? Thanks a million in advance. ❤️
Thank you. I needed this recipe. Chickens eating chicken? Little cannibalistic isn't it? LOL. I'll bet it is very healthy for them and therefore healthy for you. Love everything about you, your family and your videos. I learn so much from you and I just can't get enough.
Do the chickens know they’re eating chicken bones? 😆🧡
Hi! Thanks for a great video. Why not just make run it for 4 hours?
feeding chicken bones to the chickens…eeek
Awesome, why not just run once for six hours?
Nice and simple. I like that you showed a "bare bones" recipe without other ingredients. You can always add.
is the fat that gets accumulated on top is bad?
I just made bone broth and I only have about two cups after cooking it for 34 hours . Im pissed
Isn’t that how we got mad chicken disease?
So informative. Thanks for sharing. I prefer no music while you are speaking. It is too distracting
This is great. So simple. Thank you.
Have you used your IP as a slow cooker? I was thinking about trying it out like that with bone broth.
Love this so simple! Is it ok to feelmd chickens chicken? Wouldn't that be like us eating humans? Lol
I've been making mine on the stovetop or in my Crock-Pot but have wondered how to do it in my Instant Pot. Thanks!
