Either you love bacon or your wrong, it's that simple!
You can never go wrong with bacon . would of be nice to have camera shot showing the bacon cook. 😀😀

Mmmm bacon!
Bacon grease…nature's Pam!!
I prefer to buy pea meal bacon in a large piece and cut the slices a little thicker. Other than that, my cooking method is the same. Also, buying it in a piece gives me the option of cooking it like a roast. By cooking it like a roast, it stays more moist and you can cut slices later, dice it for soups or Mac & Cheese casseroles, etc. without it drying out. To roast it, just place it, fat side up, in an appropriate sized baking dish with a lid. Add a little liquid (water, low sodium chicken stock, etc.) and bake for about 1/2 hour lidded at 350. Remove the lid and bake another 15 min. or until the top is brown. (These times are for a piece about 1.5 to 2 lbs.) Slice hot or cold.
Kim your gorgeous

I'm even happier to know you enjoy peameal bacon. I love it, love it, love it. One of the many things that's nice about being Canadian.
Those sandwiches are the bomb! I love finding them on menus ANYWHERE!
Thanks, Robert!
Kimberly 🙂
I Love that you asked this. It's actually also known as "cornmeal bacon" too.
It's the outside coating they use to roll the cured bacon in – cornmeal. 🙂
Absolutely – the flavor of this is much different than regular bacon – entirely different, in fact. In color, texture, flavor, size, thickness. I'm sure it's a different cut altogether. It is more closely related to a ham flavor, in my taste bud realm, anyway.
Do try it! You'll LOVE it! I've even used it to wrap asparagus, etc.
Kimberly 🙂
I hate to sound stupid, but is peameal what they feed the pig? I'll have to try this. Is the flavor of this differ from regular bacon? Thanks Kimberly. Neil
Yum I love peameal bacon sandwiches, I had my first in Toronto 2 years ago! Loved them with lots of mustard, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. I know alot of them have mayo on them but I can't stand mayo. Great video today Kimberly!
