Dig, because in my family dislike it when the rice looked all mushy and somehow looked like somebody already 'touched' it if we scrape it. It will not look as appealing as it tastes.

This is my first time seeing someone scrape it. In our family, my dad would spank us if we ever do that to rice. Sure it creates fluffy texture or whatever but my dad said that we wouldn't be able to see how much is left and the bottom parts wouldn't be as appetizing to eat plus he also said that taking the top part off would just spoil the rice easier.

My culture eats rice dishes like it’s cake
We cut our piece out and leave the rest as a solid collection of fully seasoned and cooked rice
When you fluff the rice it starts loosing its flavor and the partitioning of it in chunks acts like a seal for freshness, heat and flavor

Scoop gives you the well stuck together balls of rice but scraping like that is good for people who have a fear of eating rice that hasn't been fried and coated in greasy goodness

You should actually be moving the rice around each time so that it can cool evenly and as somewhat individual specs of rice. Ofc any way of consuming rice is the right way
