Frugal tip for recipe no. 1: put the tomatoes in first, then wash the can out with the V8. And maybe a little water afterwards. ♥️ And for those who have actual parmesan cheese scraps around: throw in the rind and let it melt into the soup. You can also freeze the rinds for those occasions.

If you use coconut oil to sauté the kale, it makes it easier to rake it out of the pan and into the trash. 😊

Doh, there was a big bag of discounted kale at my store today and I didn’t get it because I didn’t know what to do with it and with thanksgiving leftovers I’ll have food for a while…but now I’m kicking myself because I could have made this and then frozen it in portions. At least I’ll know for next time.

The parmesan lid will fit on a canning jar. Makes a great way to have powdered sugar to sprinkle on cookies or whatever. Just a little hint.

Christine, the soups looked really good. Those green tops from the parmesan cheese fits on some of the mason jars, I use them when I make homemade seasonings, cuz it has a shaker size and a spoon side. 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing!!
I tend to partially blitz most of my soups which then also makes them thicker, there are still enough chunky things for you to chew also.

The way you say "that looks like about 1 tbsp…" but clearly add at least 4 🤣
I didn’t think that searing the meat made a difference, until I tried it…..If you have the extra time, I highly recommend it.
