I found the world's easiest biscuit recipe in a book: heavy cream and self rising flour. I don't necessarily use recipes, but if you mix it to the right texture, they come out good every time. I pinch them off and roll them into biscuits rather than cutting mine. I'm not the best biscuit maker, so I love this.

HI Darlene, It is nearly 8 pm when I am watching this and would never eat this late, but if I were at your house right now I sure would eat some of that stew and biscuits. Oh my it looks so good! You cook a lot like my mom did and I love watching you. We were a meat and potato family. But now I am alone and don't cook much at all. Thanks for your tempting videos. 💙

Darlene, I get a lot of inspiration and encouragement from watching your videos. I have learned a lot from watching you with such things as freezing and meal planning. I have a small chest freezer, and also, a side by side fridge which the freezer in it is not very big. So, I have also learned a lot from watching your organization videos to.

Having pancakes in the freezer is a big deal, and saves lots of time, for us! I make them from scratch, a recipe that has to rest to activate the baking powder, so always make a double or triple batch and freeze. Great video!

Hi,Darlene! This is my first time to comment and you were one of my first you tubers to watch. No matter the content , I always look forward to watching and never fail to get something useful and encouraging! I love it when you try new recipes and show how you make it your own! I love to cook also but don't care as much for baking either because you can't experiment when baking like in cooking! I admire how caring you are for your family and I always feel the love you put into everything! Great job and sending love from Louisiana!!

Whenever I want to thicken a stew or soup I add some instant mashed potatoes. It has a better flavor and you only need to add a small amount after the meal is completely cooked.

When something seems to have too much liquid I will just cook it for a while with the lid off and it evaporates the extra liquid. Your stew and chili looked fabulous. My daughter-in-law makes white chicken chili – guess I'll have to give it a try and make it some day soon.

These all look great, Darlene. Can't wait to try the beef stew and white chicken chili. Makes me wish I didn't live in Florida…rarely cool enough to entice me to do soups, as much as I like them…but do have a hunger for stew!

I can SMELL that stew, I swear!! Lol. A word on biscuits. Yours looked fabulous! As long as you keep a light hand, keep your ratios and a HOT oven, your golden! I make 2 dozen at a time. We eat what we want for breakfast, freeze the rest on a baking sheet then pop them in a freezer bag. Take out what ever you need, whenever you need them then microwave them for 30-45 seconds each.

Whenever you are making something with a gravy in the crockpot, 2 Tbsp tapioca will thicken it perfectly without adding any funky flavor or texture. I usually add it in the beginning, but I have also added it about an hour before serving when some new recipe didn't thicken how I wanted.
    Thanks for another great vlog.
