I have 2 Instant Pots. But I still make my rice on the stove. Dan…the point of claypot rice for me is the "nong" aka crunchy bottom. I use my claypot as often as I can. I actually have several Chinese and Japanese claypots for cooking. I actually like the textures of each of the items…the duck and the lop cheung in the claypot. I don't want them falling apart to me that is way overcook. What is dried chicken?? I've never heard of that before. I have used my IP for Chinese long boil soups and that works really well. I also make bone broths for these soups in them. How did your mom like the IP "clay pot rice"?

Mmmm that looks so delicious. I precooked rice with smoked pigtail and put it in separate bowls and placed in freezer. That way I can have a serving of it with dinner whenever I want it. Thanks. 😍😘🎈

I love my clay pots. I've never made this in the ipot. Must try. I always keep lop chong around as I use it in my fried rice. Where did you get the plastic sieve bowl that you washed your rice in. I really like it.
    Thanks, Dan.
