No need to pre-soak. Brown sausage or ham (or not). Add rinsed black eyed peas and 6 cups of chicken broth plus 1-2 tsp salt and pressure cook for 25 minutes. Let pressure release naturally and if you want a thickened βpot liquorβ let the pot stand 45 minutes on warm. Perfect peas every time.
