The fried ones looked so good! I am going to give this recipe a try one day soon.
As if Emmy wasn't talented enough she is also genetically superior and doesn't smell/sweat?! Lol.
Could you please make Moroccan sfenj and Dutch oliebollen?
They are made from the same kind of dough
The difference is Dutch oliebollen are ball shaped and eaten around old year's eve
And Moroccan sfenj is doughnut shaped and are eaten all year round with late afternoon tea
๐ฆ Thanks Emmy!
So happy to hear you got your mixer fixed. ๐
Emmy has done this before (see video about frying chicken in airfryer). She seems to think that airfryer means NO OIL. That is not how it works. A light spray will give you a much better result. Please make the adjustment because air fryers have changed the way I cook. Play with it to see how much better the results are. Not a lot of oil, just a light spray. You could have cooked the donuts a little longer with oil to brown. I have done this multiple times with a better result. I love your channel!

Unfortunately I'm allergic to coconut and shea so I use Arm & Hammer Essentials.
Airfrier ones looks awful… Donuts needs tan lines.
I've been thinking about this for years, but I was afraid I would become obsessed. By the time I figured it out, I would be sick of donuts, and and pound heavier.
They look great โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Air fryer ones come out really good with a basic yeAst donut recipe also you have to roll the dough thicker for air fryer sine they donโt puff from oil and do an egg wash to get the golden brown
Hii emmy๐๐๐
Lol emmy putting ALL the donut holes in the hot oil cause we all know those will be better
After seeing the results around 8:10, I predict (without reading any comments, cross my heart, hope to die, needles, eyes, etc) that she will totally prefer the traditional real-fryer method… If I am wrong, I will trust Emmy and get one of those hair-dryer-fryer-thingys.
Edit: Well, she doesn't actually say which one she prefers, but I think my bread machine from 1996 just got a "stay of execution"…
I'm running out of space for gadgets, and the poor old not-so-miraculous bread machine would have to be the first to go to make room for a new toy… (I'll bury you properly someday, my dusty old once-used ugly-dense-bread-making friend!)
I would have spritzed the doughnuts with oil before frying to give them a more authentic cook.
Wouldn't using a higher temperature on the air frier make the doughnuts crispier and more brown? I also recommend Mexican style doughnuts. They will blow your mind ๐๐๐
How come no one ever sells the bagel holes?
Natural deodorant ad : lovely and wonderful and effective!
My armpits: nope! Better keep buying that degree for men.
Air โfryingโ was just a marketing gimmick.
You cannot fry with air
What these machines are, are very small fan ovens
Donuts are best almost too warm to eat just rolled in sugar. After they have cooled they are not as good anymore.
Soo glad u've given ur honest opinion. All the videos I've seen on air fryer donuts say they're exactly like fried donuts! I just love ur honesty.

I love the seasonal gourds in the background ๐
I like donuts thight and warm๐คค
Hi Emmy! Is it possible to make the dough without the egg? Or should I use egg replacer instead?
I'll pass on the Bukakke Bagels
Apple cider doughnuts are quite popular where I live, in western Oregon. I've also heard that they're popular in parts of Georgia (the US state, not the nation). Anyway, definitely give me a fried yeasted doughnut, even though the air dryer thing is cool.
โThe hot oil pfffffffffffffโ ๐ฅฐ Deep-frying perfectly explained.
So that's how I can make bagels! ๐๐
The flavor of a donut is in the fry.
Well… An air fryer is essentially a tiny oven, it doesn't fry anything. The difference is the same as if you bake them. Are they acceptable? Yes (kind of, if you lightly oil them before cooking). Are they the same? Hell, no!
Thing about cooking things in an oven (which is what an air-fryer is, just a noisy fan oven) is they tend to be baked rather than fried in air, so, they're going to be more like baked bread than a fried donut… ๐
Hi Emmy, guy from Boston who just moved to Seattle here. WOWWWWW Your fanbase, all the commenters feeling personally connected to you. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ WOWWWW hahahah : ) I envy the goodwill you've created for yourself!!!
Thank you again for your amazing videos! ๐๐ I just want to say a note that the chef I took classes with told us. When you cut donuts itโs better not to wiggle the cutter cause that would close the cuts and it wonโt rise very well.
If you can test that out that would be interesting.. even tho idk if youโd actually want to make an entire video based on this XD
Anyways have a nice day!
Emma's Goodies made Air Fryer Yeast Donuts a few weeks ago which went viral. Her recipe and method came out amazing, very close to deep fried donuts. I really recommend her recipe.
Why did I not get that gene?!?! ๐ญ
See. Don't believe the air fryer propaganda.
Emmy you did not include in your description the person who fixed your stand mixer.
Maybe if the air fryer version were lightly brushed or sprayed with some oil before baking,my he taste would be more similar to the fried version. That will probably help with the colour took.
Hi there, really liked the music at 9:46 what is that – can you share – love you work Emmy !
I dont think the native link works
My husband never uses deodorant he never has bo or sweats. so jelly
Please stop promoting fragrance pit skin reactions. Literally 99.999% of nobody is allergic to aluminum salts that actually stop the stink. But 99% of everyone will develop a reaction to fragrance messing with their skin. Stop the fake science nonsense. Love your channel. But fake science promotion is problematic.
