You make that look so easy! Look your cooking! For my entomatadas I always use Hunts tomato sauce, Colby jack cheese and flour tortillas. So yummy! My mother in law taught me this recipe.
What oil do you use to fry with? I love how calm you are when teaching. Very approachable, makes me want to try. Also mildest pepper for rellano? Thank you!
I love all your recipes. They remind me of how my mom cooked when I was growing up. Where did you buy your cookware? I'm looking for new pots and pans. I absolutely love yours.
It's funny how potato tacos are made differently. My mom would make these for us during lent. She would fry the tortillas first then add the potato and put cheese and put them in the oven. I fry my tortillas first then add the potatoes and lettuce, tomato, and cheese and I add parmesan on the outside of the tacos. Believe me, you will love the taste of parmesan. I've never had entomatada tacos. I'll have to give that a try. I made potato tacos on Friday plus stuffed Anaheim chiles. The thing with these chilies, some will be mild and some will be spicy. It's like a surprise in each chile. My mom used to make camarones empanizado (stuffed shrimp). Not big shrimps but in powder form. Thank you for these tasty recipes. Also, I've heard people say that you can eat chicken during lent, but my past priest did say "anything that walks on the face of this earth, is meat" so no, we cannot eat chicken during lent.
You're always ROCKIN' it dear Simply Mamá! 5 great Meatless recipes, just in time for Lent and when you mentioned any soup recipes, looking through your channel for any Crema de Huitlacoches(Cream of Corn Smut Soup),and if you haven't done any yet, and considering your hubby, chilpayates and you like the corn smut, that would be great because you my dear Madre, have an excellent sazón(lol….don't know the translation for this word), thanks for sharing, liked and greetings from central Mexico. 🙂
@ about 2 minutes in, please, no. Please, don't use unrecyclable plastic wrap. Use a paper grocery bag, perhaps a small one from a liquor store. Just close it up, and when used, it can then be composted. Just bury it under your flowers.
@7:30 in, um, ANYTHING with chicken stock in it is NOT "meatless." That is what one local Mexican restaurant got told, after I found out, after a QUARTER CENTURY of eating their "vegetarian" enchilada sauce, I was informed it had chicken stock in it. They were lucky I didn't sue them.. Not kidding. CHICKEN STOCK IS NOT VEGETARIAN, let alone VEGAN. Vegan versions, including Osem consomme, and various Vegan bouillons exist.
@28:20, I recommend Tiger Seasoning, which is MSG, salt, garlic powder, and white pepper.
I made your chili rellenos today for company. I was a little worried but they came out delicious! My husband said he'd eat them any time. My company RAVED over them. I really liked the sauce very much. Thank you for all that you do!

What a great video. You did well in explaining how to make your dishes. The Chili Rellanos are my favorite.

Thank you so much for the meatless meals because I don't eat meat and I really love Mexican food you just can't find it without meat 🥩
