That rice pudding…it’s very similar to Arroz con Leche. We grew up eating that as a warm dessert or even a breakfast. It never occurred to me to add bananas or oats to thicken it….I’m soooo going to try this!

So sorry for your loss of your pup. Mine passed away three years and it’s still a challenge for me. Growing up, my mom would make us atole de arroz (rice oatmeal) which is what you made. She would use evaporated milk and cinnamon sticks. Some times she would use orange peels or lemon peels to change it up. It’s my favorite oatmeal. I use almond milk instead of the evaporated milk. Made some a few weeks ago. LOVE your channel. ~Melissa

You did amazing on $4! I've been airfrying chickpeas too sooooo good! Banana rice pudding is genius. I don't have Instagram (I minimilised social media to just YouTube best thing) so I can't post up when I make your meals.. but I do make them and get so much inspiration thank you 💞
I did an oatmeal, choc fudge protein powder and a tablespoon of peanut butter breakfast the other day just trying to use up what's in my pantry and to add calories. The protein powder is pea based… Won't be getting it again as it's not that nice but the peanut butter disguised the taste! I hate food waste so I can't justify throwing away 1kg of protein powder.

So very sorry to hear about the loss of your fur baby. Levi must be feeling it too 💔 how sad for you all 💞 sending hugs 💞

You are so creative with your meal ideas….
I tried making garbanzo beans as chips years ago. They did not turn out so well. Lol.
So sad to lose a dog. Prayers to you and your husband. After 7 yrs I still call my current t dogs Freckles and she has been gone for 7 yrs now. I was just telling my husband how much I miss her. 😥 Its hard. It does get better. It just takes time.

You did great for $4! 💜
I eat potatoes daily but haven't done a potato salad in so long-that sounds really good. 😀
And your little dog is so cute, glad he's comforting you and keeping you company! ❣

All of these dishes looked great. And for $4 at Walmart no less 😱 talk about awesome! Sorry to hear about your doggie, I've always wanted a furry friend to love, but sadly my budget doesn't allow me to. At least your new cooking buddy looks really happy 🖤

I'm always happy to hear that you plan on doing more budget videos in whatever form they come! 🙂 I like the idea too of different versions/lengths of days etc, and by the way three different vegetables and a fruit for just one day is a good amount considering what you spent; imagine that X7 for a week and it's a lot of food and a lot of veg! 🙂
And did you know the chickpeas also count towards your '5 a day', so really you have 4 different veg, pretty good really!
I don't know the exchange rate of Australian dollars to US but I feel this amount of food would have cost closer to $10-$12 here, so you did really well to get as much as you did for that price! Well done! 🙂
Also, I don't know if you saw but Frugal Fit Mom just showed a baked rice dish which is savoury and super easy, so that is something else you could have done or can do another time with limited ingredients and especially if you have spare rice leftover. Maybe you could try it another time, looked really good. 🙂

Yay….was so excited when I seen you had posted a video. I would eat all of these, they all looked delicious Miranda. I bet the potato salad would be good with the southwest mustard that you got me started on….btw thank you for that because it is so good.

Excellent! Love all the recipes 😋. I shall definitely try the nutritional yeast addition to marinara sauce, but maybe over rice as my tummy doesn't like pasta, even the gluten free variety 😁 xx

Great ideas. The banana 🍌 "milk/cream" is something we had often instead of dairy milk 🥛when I was a child. I thought it was great in the rice pudding. I also like your tip to add mushrooms and olives in addition to the peppers to the pizza 🍕pasta. Good job! Thanks!!! and best wishes!!!
I also send heart thoughts and condolences for your loss of your doggo. Are you fostering or did you adopt that new little nugget?
