We don't have Sam's here. I use to shop there when I lived in Florida. Don't know if it's a feasible idea but my great grandparents use to store things in a food cellar ( dug out hole in the ground they use shelves and bins to store things in it depending on how big a hole you want dig out. )

I would make sure you can park your RV at the hospital. You should take your RV if you can, if would save money, you already have all your stuff in it and the kids would be used to it, so it would be more comfortable for them.

You should buy a deep freezer with a lock put it under the tent or in a shed run on a power station or generator. That would save money on buying meat weekly you can freeze everything except lettuce .

I hear you on the food prices going up and up . Its just two of us + 2 kitties and we have a hard time staying within a budget because we have certain protein needs right now and its so hard to not over spend. Here in Canada we only have Costco and its our cheapest option to keep us on point we always spend more at the smaller stores
No local Sam's Club near me. I think the closest is an hour away maybe. I've never been in a Sam's Club or Costco. But I do frequent the Mennonite Bulk Store and Butchers which is about 30 minutes away.
But our local gas stations are $3.75 for regular unleaded. Not sure about premium. Hubby just filled up his Ram 2500 pickup. Cost him $76.00. CRAZY!!!
