Here in the hills of Southern Tennessee, where a heavy frost will close schools, we use tractors with frontend loaders. Turn the bucket face down and scrape. When enough is scraped into a large pile scoop it up and put it where you want it. The good thing about having a bucket on a small tractor is, you can use it for so many other things on the homestead. Really, how many other things can you use a snowblower for. Big plus-you can buy the tractor first, then buy the loader later.😊

I've have used both a plow and used a snow blower for yrs. Up here in snow country of Michigan. Depends on snow you get and amounts. We can get a lot of snow! A plow is nice ! If snow is wet and heavy the snow blowers don't always want to work well. If you can afford it though get an old truck n put a plow on it and then get a small snow blower to clean up spots!

From a northern Minnesota native who moves A LOT of snow each year on a long gravel driveway…just get the plow attachment for your Ranger. I love mine! I can plow the whole driveway without any help from my husband if he isn’t home. It’s super easy to use! I would add that chains for your Ranger, if you have a steep hill, will also help a ton as well. Thanks for another great video Becky!! 🥰

Hey Becky! I know you guys got a side by side, if you went with the Polaris, I believe they make attachments that have plows. That way it is very little extra for you to get and store, and it is still far quicker to clear out than a snowblower! I hope this helps!

I couldn't help but giggle at the reaction to the snow….as I sit in my kitchen and look out at snow banks that are 4 feet high or more…

I made garlic knots for the first time a month ago. The recipe made 36 knots. I baked them all, but we only ate 12 of them and they were so good topped with butter and garlic. I put the remaining knots (without butter topping) in the freezer in batches of 12 wrapped with foil and into a freezer bag. I have since pulled each remaining batch out when we have had family over. I put them in the oven to warm, straight from the freezer in the foil they were wrapped initially. They came out perfect! I also changed the topping to half olive oil and half butter with garlic and we liked that even better! Thanks for always sharing great recipes and encouraging us to try something new!
