No offence but starting a business with your partner is not a “risk” but rather an “emotionally driven decision”. This is coming from someone who has been through the exact same experience before. It might seem like the perfect “opportunity” to grow together as individuals and as a couple, doing something that you both love and connect to right now, but along the line, regardless of how “successful” you both become, its not gonna end well. Both the relationship and the business will be jeopardised by conflicts that are naturally inevitable when profession is mixed with emotions
I think you are right about "don't let what ifs rule your life", but you are using the concept on the wrong thing. Generally speaking there is the risk and there is the profit. So we choose the decision with the least risk and the most profit, and when people say "don't do business with people you are sleeping with" is because the risk is much higher, yet the profit is much lower than average businesses. I would trust the stats not "but he is different", because ever woman who lose money to their men trusted that man not stats.
it's good to have faith in your partner and try new risks, but I suggest you guys draw up a contract for the partnership part. I'm not implying that your boyfriend has ill intentions (he seems like a wonderful guy), but it's always nice to have legal reassurance in any business you start.
Girl make sure you have a contract. That’s why the “what if” exist. You say what if he or you want to part ways how will we handle the business aspect then you get that in writing. Just like what if he wants a divorce and the house, guess what get a prenup. I believe in preparing for the future as much as I can especially with my money cause I’ve seen some shit.
In my family, lots of shared businesses between friends and/or family have gone awry. I hope yours goes well and the way you imagine. I know comments like this bother you. They come from a place of concern and some from people who got screwed over badly before.
Here’s the thing, everyone mind your business AND be sovereign. You can go into business with anyone—family business tend to be more successful and less likely to have exploitive systems built in—no matter who it’s with your business should be separate from theirs. Whatever you create together is a collaboration with investment, contracts and/or agreements. Romance family friend foe whoever you go into business with. So that your future isn’t intertwined entirely with theirs. Respectfully as I’m still minding my own business lol

I hope you've signed contracts making clear what each of you is doing and gaining. Don't let anyone bring you down.

Don’t you think that critical thinking and financial stability is more important than what makes you happy in the moment?
The way you have matured over the years is just wow, I can't imagine you are the same person that tuerked while shaking a lunch box 😅

Love how you think! Wish you all the success. Don’t let what others say affect you.
This is such an irritating video. A fool and her money are soon parted. You're an absolute idiot.
Life is short you need a black guy
I love that. With risk comes reward ❤️
It can go either horribly or amazingly!
Either way, you'll live! 💕
