The core is the best part!!
Thatโ€™s the main part of the fried or steamed cabbage I eat first. So delicious!!
I donโ€™t understand why anyone would discard the best part of the cabbage. The core!!๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿฅฐ

    Hey Stefanie
Just follow Lena suggestion for beans. I cook pintos all the time in my instant pot but donโ€™t soak them.
No need in the instant pot. Like she said put on sautรฉ to thicken. Please use your pot. Would save you much time.
Love this video. Waiting for chops now.

When you cook your beans in the instant pot if there not thick enough just turn it on the saute for a few minutes until they get the thickness that you like them just keep them stared so they won't scorch.

I saw another YouTuber fry up about 6 strips of bacon and removed the bacon, cooked a 1/2 onion in bacon grease then cook your cabbage in.the same grease. Then crumble the bacon into pieces. Basically fried but in bacon grease. This is great flavor also.

What you just did with your cabbage, my family would call that "STEWED" We "stewed everything that way (squash, okra, zucchini etc.) What you call "stewed" cabbage we called boiled. lol I guess it depends on what part of the country you live in. I was born and raised in Florida. You are right it is delicious!๐Ÿ˜Š

Hey Leslie, I hope your allergies went away. The cabbage looks delicious and yes you did a video with cabbage. It popped up on my feed yesterday as soon as you kept bringing cabbage up! My mom used to fry her cabbage, too. But, not until the edges were brown. I'm sure that adds lots of flavor! So, anyway yesterday when I saw your video, I intended to buy some cabbage while I was at the store today and totally forgot!!!! I won't forget the next time I go. I can't wait to cook that. ๐ŸฅฌThank you! Love from Los Angeles. Oh, P.S. I like a little thicker bean broth too. And, in your Instapot, just use less water! But, you know that I'm sure!
