I love to cook from scratch. I learned from my mother by watching her cook and took home economics in school to cook basic meals and desserts. My mother taught me hand sewing but home economics taught me how to use a sewing machine and basic embroidery stitches. I use recipe books and have a Betty Crocker cookbook from the late 1970s that I use frequently. Thank you for the tips in this video. My grandkids and I are compiling cookbooks for when they move out on their own.

It's funny that you're talking about this today. Earlier I was wanting some "spaghetti" but I didn't have any spaghetti sauce. So I looked in my pantry and saw the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste and put it all in with my ground beef and stirred in the spices. So good! I'm trying to cut back on carbs right now, so I did have a can of palmini linguine and used that instead of spaghetti. Thanks for the great tips!

Awesome lesson, which seems to always be “relearned” retroactively/ rather than proactive behavior.. thanks a million for “planting the seeds” of knowledge and support for survival, which can lead to a life of thriving and improving quality of life. Happy new year and God Bless

I don't have the budget to eat out so I have had to cook the last 3 years. I go to the internet and I write down the recipes I make. I have also put basic recipes in with my stored food. Thanks for all the tips.

I have to 100% agree on cooking from scratch. We keep basics in the kitchen like flour and yeast. It is noce having the freeze dryer to long term store foods that normally don't store long. Always great info, Rogue!
