This only works with lard. Never add water or Pepsi to regular cooking oil.

This guy that was making the carnitas at this dinner I went to in Cali, after eating the literally best carnitas I ever tasted in my life, he said the only thing he put on it was salt, and that’s it! I was like yo, I see people putting all kind of stuff in it to cook them, he said no if it’s some good pork with of course cueritos and all that, he said all he always put is salt in the cazo, nothing else.
