ABSOLUTELY deeee-licious! Had my doubts but Ohh Myyy! THANK YOU! Will enjoy this again and again…such SIMPLE ingredients but yields TONS of flavor…that fresh lemon & garlic at the end is tremendous!
I have never pressure cooked in my life, but I just bought one (mostly so I can cook perfect beans). You are a wealth of information for a newbie like me. Thank you for showing every step. After just this one video, I already feel more confident about using this instant pot (which was intimidating). And now I'm going to go buy a garlic twist!
Love, Love, LOVE IT!>>>ur2.pl/1035 That is all that needs to be said! The answer is YES, if your question is…should I buy this!?!?!
I made this in a Mini with 1 cup of large lima beans (soaked overnight) and 3/4 c stock. The beans that were submerged in liquid were cooked to perfection, but the beans that were not totally submerged needed more time. I guess I could just use more liquid next time. Any other suggestions?
I'm considering a pressure cooker, and I just found your site. I love beans and I want to eat more plant based meals. So glad to find your channel! I have some concerns about the InstaPot reviews, many are giving out in a few months.
I made this last night in my IP and it was delicious! I used great northern beans for the white beans. I used Chinese spinach for the greens. I didn't have lemons but I had lemon juice so I used that at the end. Enjoying your videos!
My instant pot just died, after only 2 months. My Cusinart also died after 7 months. I decide to say goodbye to the electric pressure cookers. I have gone to the Fagor 8 quart, and then I use the Fagor Induction Cooktop. This give me the most wanted features of the electric added to my Fagor Stainless Steel 8qt. Now I just set the induction cooktop to High temp, then once my pressure cooker is up to temp, I then drop in down to 212 setting, set the cooktop timer to whatever time I need for the food I am cooking and it all gets done. I am now happily pressure cooking again.
Great video. I need that garlic twister. Pretty much everything I cook had garlic.
I made this last night as I am trying to eat more vegan dishes. Thank you!
Wow! l got a few good tips from watching your blog. First, was to zest your lemons. l always did it backwards until now. Great idea! Thank you so much for making my life alot easier.
Hi Jill – thank you very much for taking the time to make an informative and very helpful step-by-step video, it's greatly appreciated. I just finished this recipe in my new IP and the flavor is great, although the ingredients are simple the dish tastes really fresh and flavorful! Unfortunately, my beans were quite overcooked. I used great northern's and I think I should have maybe backed off the pressure cook time by a minute or two; I'll try again soon. In any case, thanks again for making this video!
why do you give ourself such a stupid name, you just lower your credibility immediately
Hi Jill, I hope all is well. In regards to the ratio of liquid to beans…do you use that ratio for all beans or is that just for the white beans?
Thanks Jill, hope you find the time to share more Instant Pot recipes. Thanks for your time in producing this video.
i can't find your video on how you made your broth. very interested. thanks
Thank you June. I eat this dish all year long. I change up the greens according to what's in season.
I also love using the Instant Pot to make soy yogurt. I am just now making soy milk to see if it's worth doing to make the yogurt. Stay tuned…
Thanks for this video, Jill. I just got the IP and am using it to make soy yogurt, and I love it.
This will make a great winter dish!
I learned a couple of things about my Instant Pot! I didn't know you could adjust the saute level. Good to know! And I didn't know about leaning the lid on the side. I'm always looking for counter space, so that's handy as well. Thanks!
This is an awesome tutorial, Jill!! Thanks for doing vlogs 🙂 🙂
One thing that might help in the future is to zoom in on the IP and show the buttons you're pushing when you're first putting the ingredients in (you did this more when you brought it to pressure the 2nd time).
I really do like it 🙂 🙂 Also..I totally need a garlic twist!
I LOVE it!! So happy to have found your youtube channel! Is this in one of your cookbooks?
Thank you for this recipe. I'm loving my new pressure cooker, and this looks super delicious, healthy and EASY!
