    Three onions in 1inch pieces
    Six carrots in 1inch pieces
    Six Celery in 1inch pieces
    Three big handfuls of spinach
    Two big handfuls of parsley fresh
    Five bay leaves
    Two teaspoons of Thyme
    Two teaspoons pepper
    Two teaspoons salt.
    Mix together for ten minutes
    Add 16 cups cold water
    Cook at simmer for an hour

    Why not add warm/hot water to vegetables? If you add cold water (as you did) It stops the cooking process. Then you have to wait for everything to heat up again ! Can you explain why you add cold water to veg? Thanks.
