I heard the Cosori Air fryer was being recalled because they were going on fire! Over 2 million have been recalled. When air fryers malfunction, they can be exceedingly dangerous, though, which is why it's so important to heed manufacturers' recalls. Last year, Best Buy recalled more than 700,000 Insignia air fryers because of multiple reports in both the U.S. and Canada that the devices had overheated, melted, and in some cases caught fire, resulting in instances of property damage and physical injury. Also in 2022, two models of Magic Chef air fryers were recalled because some components in the fryers could overheat.

On February 23, 2023, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of more than two million Cosori air fryers sold in the U.S. as well as additional air fryers sold in Mexico and Canada.

Some models pose fire and burn hazards

My first post was deleted, which I apologize for, Lisa. I think it was because I posted a link from the US government’s Consumer Products Safety Commission (I may have the exact name wrong), detailing the Cosori air fryers’ recall. I’m sorry. Please forgive my completely unintentional error. My intentions were good. In my original post, I also agreed with Lisa in suggesting that people buy a larger air fryer. I have an 8-qt air fryer & love it. Have a great day, all. 😊

I have used the Cosori brand air fryer for a couple of years now. My first one was bought from Amazon UK when I lived in Scotland, on the recommendation of Cathy from Fabulously Frugal. Then when we moved back to California this past summer, I bought one from Amazon here. I love it. It is easy to use, has a really well-written user manual and comes also with a book of recipes. I use my air fryer almost every day. I’m curious what you will think of it.

I have the instant pot vortex, own quite a few instant pot products (2 pots and the sous vide), but a friend sent me tons of articles on the vortex being toxic. I don't know to think.

I had a Cosori basket aifryer and in less than a year the handle broke off. Now I have a Ninja double basket and I love it. We use it almost every day. I use my Instant Pot every now and then, so I wouldn't want a 2 in 1.

Saw on the news that Cosori has a recall on a few models of their air fryers. I have PowerXL Grill Air Fryer and PowerXL Vortex 10-qt Dual Basket Air Fryer. Love them both for difference uses.

I recently bought a cosori air fryer after watching so many yt videos talking about how great it was and wanting to upgrade my previous af that I had for years which was cheaper with a larger basket. I am now returning the cosori due to the current recall that is going on with certain models…plus..I didn't see the hype 😶. Maybe I'll try the instant brand.

I have a Breville oven style, and it is wonderful for toast, pizza, and whole chicken, but there's a reason I asked my friend to bring her big ninja basket-style to the Superbowl party! Way better wings, and the capability to just shake the basket is a game changer. The blower is more powerful and it gets hot faster. I'm really close to just buying my own, so thanks for the review video!

I had the cosco one at one time and absolutely loved it! I got it on sale for 40 bucks. It was so cheap I could resist it and it turned out fabulous. Can you please tell me what makes the instant pot air fryer better? I need to know soon as my birthday is coming up. I’m teetering between asking for the cosco brand again or the instant pot one.

I have one other question. You made it clear that you need to buy at least the 6 Oz. But I wasn’t clear if you were saying ‘the bigger the better’- in other words, should you buy the biggest one you can find if you have space for it?

I have the Instant Omni and love it. It is a toaster-oven style which works best for my kitchen because I don't have counter space for an air fryer & toaster. I think Instant has re-styled it to be less boxy and more streamlined. It works great! We use so many functions on it; air fry, bake, reheat, toast and dehydrate. I absolutely love the dehydrator function, it's much faster and more efficient than my old Nesco dehydrator. Plus, no plastic trays which just trapped moisture making the drying process last twice as long. I also recently purchased the 3 quart Instant Pot and love it. I only cook for 2 people so it's the perfect size for my needs. I made my first batch of homemade yogurt yesterday and it's the best I've ever made. You may want to wait to try the Cosori air fryer. 2 million of them were recalled recently due to being a fire hazard.
