One day as I was scrolling I was ecstatic when I saw a fellow Montanan so I clicked on your channel and have watched you many times. I’m fromMiles City . My brother in law volunteers at our food bank and has been after me to use it but like most I thought I was okay others needed it more than me. Then I heard you say it was for the working poor. I’m a 75 year old woman, that has a family with many Dr.bills and my husband and I 😢still work so that category fits us perfectly. I signed up and we can shop once a week then we also 🎉get a basket with meat, eggs, milk and item that are not usually on the weekly shelves.I visited with the boss and asked what did they do with the produce that won’t hold over till the next week and she said it goes in the garbage. After she knew what my plan was she let’s me come get the extra food which I take home , sort, and preserve. I can very little but I dehydrate most and then usually once a month I take it to the soup kitchen. The cook is having a ball figuring out all the different things she can do with it.
Your videos have opened my eyes to so many ideas from canning , dehydrating, cooking from your pantry and many new recipes. If I only had a freeze dryer the ideas in my head are endless however,by the time I get the money saved I’ll be to old to read the instructions. Keep up the good work and may God bless you and yours.

Thankfully when my kiddo hit about 8 or 9 he really started to enjoy spicy🌶️ foods, so I didn’t have tone down my cooking. Now as an adult, he can tolerate waaay more spice than I can, and I spice up pretty much everything I make (except for sweets😅), plus I go thru prob 2 bottles of hot sauce a week by myself 😂

Loved the video as always Carolina … just a super secret tip (lol) that my Nana always taught me . When using cornflour or flour to thicken something instead of mixing it with water use the liquid from the pot . The slurry is then flavoured with what your cooking , it makes the worry about cooking it out less stressful. Have a lovely day 😊
