I used to make stuffing like my Mom who did hers more from scratch. She would get a loaf of bread and cut it into cubes and let it dry out overnight. Then she would make cornbread and let it dry out as well. Then she would chop all the veg, sauté and put the stuffing together using some of the broth she got from boiling the necks and giblets. I did that once or twice then I found the Pepperidge Farm mix. I always used that afterward. I can duplicate a lot of Mom's recipe's but I am not as good as she was. Also, I mix my ketchup with the W sauce for the topping on my meatloaf. I am going to try the stuffing mix in my next meatloaf. It makes perfect sense now that I see it.

My all-time favorite southern comfort meal is meatloaf, mashed taters, green beans and sweet tea. That's what I grew up eating at least once a week, thanks Mom. Yours looked perfect. Now I need to go get some stuffing mix!

I love all of your videos Mandy and I especially love your sense of humor and honesty. I watch a lot of cooking videos and have a dozen I never miss. You and Steven are refreshing. Btw, if you don't mind me saying, the proper way to say "bruschetta" is with a hard k sound like brusketta.

I always use the electric hand mixer to blend meatloaf ingredients….it works perfect …. used a stuffing mix, but sautéed my onion with lots of garlic before adding to loaf….you need the garlic! Dry mustard an egg and Worcestershire sauce and S&P complete the recipe. Top it after baking with chili sauce mixed with Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar to taste….yummy!

??? Question – Why add vinegar to the ketchup topping for the meatloaf? In all my 52 years I have never heard of such. I mix ketchup, brown sugar and a bit of mustard to top mine. So very curious. Thanks so much. I LOVE all of your videos! 💕

Mandy and Family, I have to tell you that I have been trying many of your meals lately. Unfortunately, my hubby is a picky eater. HE has enjoyed all of your meals which has prompted me to do a month of Mandy. Every night I ask him what he thinks and then I say you can thank Mandy. LOL thanks for helping me with my picky eater!

My husband hates stuffing, like, he REFUSES to eat it… EXCEPT for that chicken bruschetta bake! We love that one. It's really convenient, you can even do it with condensed tomato soup instead of tomato chunks if that's all you have, and I can make it in my little toaster oven in a pan just big enough for the 2 of us with no leftovers!
