    I love the interaction but I am worrying about your laptop sitting next to the flames!
    I make ham stock with the hock, celery, onion, carrots and the usual aromatics. Then use it to make a ham chowder with potatoes.

    I have an unopened ham that expires on the 31st Dec. If I don’t open it will it last longer to maybe end of January so I can make these dishes as I already have too much cooked ham

    I made your cherry spiced glazed ham for my family Xmas day – soooo worth it! Along with that creamy Japanese potato salad – I had veeery satisfied kids that day! The ham was epic! I made a Korean inspired rice bowl last night for the fam – diced up the ham and sautéed it in a pan with a splash of soy sauce, added the sticky Korean style rice in a bowl and arranged shredded carrot, cucumber, edamame beans, home made kimchi, shredded green onions and topped it with a slow cooked fried egg from this video (croque madam) finished with sesame oil, soy sauce, sprinkle of sesame seeds and the toragashi. Was suuuper delish. Thanks for the inspiration Marion- I love your cook book too – have it at hand for more inspo xx 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿

    🤣 omg this is how everyone feels right now when they have done a ham for the holidays.🤣 Was wondering if you would try a red beans and rice but with your twists. We do that or a cuban black bean soup or split pea soup.

    I wish I could buy a ham like that in Sweden. We eat boiled ham which is normally not smoked but put in a brine prior to cooking. Think I could use it for dumplings though. They were my favorite. 😍

    Looking at that minced fried ham mixture made me think of san choy bow 🤤. I also think I've figured out what "bacon style" bits in the supermarket actually is 🤣 … you could freeze minced ham then fry it off as needed with croutons or panko and put it on Mac n cheese or Caesar salad etc 🤔

    Perfect timing!!!! Love watching your videos! LOL you are so animated with your staff. Loved the interaction. I made a 9lb ham. (4 kilo) for just two people three days ago. I've managed to finish make a dent. Ham sandwiches. Ham and eggs, Ham ramen noodles. Split pea soup with ham.

    Comment: I'm first generation US born Filipino. Was raised on ham salad, (deviled ham). Either ate it on saltine crackers but basically spread it on bread for a sandwich.

    Favorite recipe: #1 Dan Dan Noodles, #2 Croque Madame, #3 Ramen Noodle, #4 Ham Salad, #5 Ham wonton.

    By the way, you make me want to go out and buy more ham! <G> Happy Holidays! Now to raid the refrigerator….you''ve made me hungry!

    What a Wonderfull recipe , your croque madame, but I am afraid that in France, you usually broil the Mornay sauce on the top of the sandwich ant then you put the egg. ut that is just a advice. By the way , thank you so much for yours vidéos….. Georges From PARIS !!

    Hi Marion,
    I would like to know which flavour was the seasoning packets you added to the broth?
    In France we put the croque monsieur (without egg) or madame under the grill for a few minutes before serving. It makes the bechamel even better!

    This was a geat video & I've loved the giggles throughout! Thank you for all these delicious recipes;
    Love from western France

    Another dish beloved in many parts of the US that you could make with a meaty ham bone: red beans and rice. Again, I wouldn't try to Instagram it, but it's a bowl of warming comfort in the winter. <3 (It's also REALLY inexpensive to make.)
