    Melodie, I too cook Butternut squash in the Microwave, easy peasy. But I pierce the squash multiple times with strong meat fork and put in the microwave until it’s all the way cooked about 10 to 15 min let it cool for a about 5 – 10” and then cut it in half and scoop out the seeds and then dice or whatever. I just think it’s easier and faster to handle it cooked.
