Forgot to say, your sound is very low today. I could not hear you well at all without ear buds. Also, CONGRATS to your wonderful marine son on his wedding, Autumn!! Your new daughter-in-law is beautiful! Prayers for them to have a long and happy marriage. Thank you for sharing the photos. <3 <3

I don't know why you shook your head in disbelief when you read the statement about Walgreen's closing a store because of not filling enough prescriptions. Maybe I misunderstood your implication. Sorry if I did. I have a friend who is a manager at Walgreen's. He told me that all of the front of the store does not make any money at all. The pharmacy is the part that makes all of the profit. Between paying rent, utilities, employees, payroll costs (taxes, employee medical, retirement, etc.), and theft, they have to fill so many scripts to make a good profit. It only makes sense to cut the stores that aren't making a profit (not enough prescriptions) to be worth the trouble. The investors are not investing for fun. They are there to make a profit on their money. The CEO's answer to the shareholders. That's the way business works. Mom and Pop businesses do the same. No profit = close down. If you were running a business from home, you would not spend a bunch of money, work, and time, on things that did not make you any money. It's as simple as that. It is only common sense, and the way that business works. Maybe there was high theft at those stores, coupled with not filling enough prescriptions, well that spells loss. They are not going to come and say they are closing those particular stores because the people in those neighborhoods are thieves.

Our Walgreens is adjusting hours do to staff shortages, the onlything people buy at Walgreens is subscriptions anyway, very seldom do I see people actually buying anything, their way to expensive.
So yea I'm sure some will close.

I just come back from Family Dollar. The cashier mentioned that a FD is closing. And she also told me that the local Shell station keeps running out of gas. Madison County Ohio. 11/7/2022.
Shelves are looking skinnier and skinnier.
Dad's speciality pharmacy called to ask if he really needed his Rx filled as well this afternoon. We have a surplus because his medicine changed to a lower dose so I told them to hold it. They will check back in a month. Never had that happen before.

Going to get real at the grocery store. Went to Kroger this am to restock because of the diesel problems. They had 3 gallons of 2% milk left. I grabbed one the man behind me grabbed 2. They have no more except whole milk.

We had a Walmart close an hour from us 2 years ago because of theft. They warned the community, on the news, newspapers. Several months later they closed with no warning. Building still Vacant today. So so sad. Those people are driving an hour plus to another one. 😳
