Wow I'm shocked to see the chicken pieces and bacon in your fridge and the amount of processed frozen meat alternatives in your freezer. I remember when there was no way you'd eat any if that sort of stuff but I guess we all change a long the way of our Vegan journey. Also I'm not judging, I use them sparingly myself but I just remembered it was stuff you said you didn't eat.

Thanks for the great video πŸ™‚ Although I'm having some gut issues at the moment (I've got a feeling it's down to stress), I'm pleased to say that my kitchen contents are pretty similar to yours 😁 I'm almost there, yay!

Great video! Been vegan over five years now but only just got into training a bit more seriously so these videos are great to help with shopping ideas for healthiest diet. I seen that open tin in the fridge. When I’d done good safety courses for my previous catering jobs I was always told tins in the fridge is a big no as can cause a chemical reaction with the tin and iron and taint your food. Could be just over cautious warnings for restaurants but I always transfer into a reusable food container if I have left over legumes just to be safe

Love you Hench but you might want to fill out a bit. I am not sure why you wanted to loose so much weight. I don’t want to judge since my friends same the same about me. I lost 20 pounds after esophageal surgery. Trying to gain weight is not easy for me. I am five three and weigh about 105 pounds.

Very interesting Paul, so much veg, im clearly no eating enough broccoli lol. Thanks for sharing.
In terms of the sugar free beans, that surprised me as I thought "no added sugar" = artificial sweeteners. I checked though and they contain stevia, not aspartame. Is stevia the only artificial sweetener you would touch? I would love to see more authentic fermented vegan cheeses and not the fake coconut oil stuff.

My whole family fell in love with this mushroom gravy. They asked me to make it again for Christmas. (Credit to Simnett Nutrition)

    4 cups cremini mushrooms, chopped
    2 cups onion, chopped
2 tbsp cup veggie broth (for cooking)
2 tsp tamari (or braggs for cooking)

SautΓ© together and add to a blender with the following:
    2 Tbsp miso Paste
    1/4 cup nutritional yeast
    2/3 tsp thyme
    2/3 tsp rosemary
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp onion powder
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    2 Cups vegetable broth

Blend everything together and then simmer on low for 10-15 minutes. Enjoy!

Nice one! One comment, one question – sparkling water can still damage tooth enamel, so it’s worth being mindful. Are you across any daily greens powder? You hear about them endlessly but they’re so expensive! We are whole foods plant based and saw very little difference on it (none actually).

Excellent, this is exactly what I wanted to see. It's all very well knowing recipes but not know how much volume to buy at the supermarket. I picked up most on the commentary about walnuts, frozen fruit nutrients and the little daily tips. Also the way you store things was interesting to see.

I'm almost there myself, I need to up my cruciferous vegetables, fruits, increase ground seeds and nuts and interesting to hear the tips on reducing fats / oils and sugars. I'll be looking for sugar free beans and dropping oil even further by removing vegan cheeses / certain types of processed foods.

Also I loved Hibiscus when I went to Egypt, I'll have to look for some fresh hibiscus and herbs.

Thanks so much Paul and Gemma.
