It’s time to challenge the boys to another ULTIMATE £5 BUDGET BATTLE!! 30 minutes, 4 portions and ONLY £5 to spend!
Jamie cutting those bread circles give me so many memories from pass it on.
Anyone know of a YT edit where it’s just Ben being authoritative for like 20mins straight?…. Asking… for a friend… yeah that’s right a friend. 😉😏😘
Mike was the winner for me. It's what I would most likely want to make and eat.
And if you can’t cook a meal or even course for £5.00 then you’re literally worse than Putin and Hitler and Stalin in a hot tub.
Chrispy?
that was super duper close
Barry's doing what ben should have done in the make it gourmet series
Have you ever considered a video on making your own staples? Things like mustards, marmalades and dried produce to take advantage of when things are in season? It's not something I know much about, and maybe it isn't easy to do at home if you don't have particular equipment, but could make for a fun "taste the difference" video
Baz and Mykes look really filling – I'm not sure how filling Jaime's would be so I would be less likely to pick it.
Love the creativity and the fun!
Chorizo and feta? 🤢 Who told you those go together?
Mike…in my view, your dish was best!!… The other one's may of been colourful but your pie was more daring in the time
Great time to reiterate the phrase "it's easy to find mess in a tidy room". Everything is standout so those tiny little weaknesses are emphasised.
To me, the whole time I was telling myself that there is NO WAY that the meals are 5 pounds each…
I love the health and safety tips <3
I don’t usually pick quite so backwards to Ben, but I thought Jamie’s felt/looked pretty disjointed as a concept. Almost like he hadn’t felt inspired for this challenge. The only element of his I liked was broccoli salad. Barry’s looked good, but soup for a budget challenge is a little obvious. I thought Mike’s should have won, it was clever and with the size of pie and six big pieces of chicken exceeded the challenge as it would have fed six.
Battle idea! Recreate one of your previous budget meals, but on an unlimited budget.
I think Jamie should be deducted a few points for not incorporating the bread crusts in his dish and Barry should get a bonus point for how spot on those eggs were cooked. But I would quite happily eat all of those dishes! Yum!
If we give them ingredients people ate or had on hand as students or when on a budget what would they make. Taking there is an international community results should be interesting
As a subscriber to the meal packs…I would have to say that Mike’s dish would feed me 6-8 meals…2 chicken thighs and the pie is a HUGE serving…whereas the other boys are realistic 4 meals…in saying that, I love Jamie’s bread-penadas and the usage of them for so many different ideas and flavours
Im gonna say this, if Mike wins this, were gonna have to stop calling him amatuer like barry and jamie. This dude is getting really good.
That's a shit thumbnail
Please cook some Ukrainian food 🤍🤍🇺🇦
All looked great, personally wanted to taste mike's most
I appreciate the constraints of the challenge. If I need Dijon mustard for a recipe, the grocery store doesn't seem to like me just taking a tablespoon and leaving some coin.
I think Mike's dish is more comforting, 2 pieces of chicken and vegetable pastry pie? Count me in!
I like how Baz's eggs looked. I've seen ramen served with goopy eggs. It would be a good 'go to' meal. The dumplings seem pretty ingenius.
Kudos to Jayme for all the veggies, he's stepping outside his comfort zone.
Mike's vol au vent filling looked delicious.
Did..did Jamie do a Paul Bearer imitation?
