Have you ever considered a video on making your own staples? Things like mustards, marmalades and dried produce to take advantage of when things are in season? It's not something I know much about, and maybe it isn't easy to do at home if you don't have particular equipment, but could make for a fun "taste the difference" video

I don’t usually pick quite so backwards to Ben, but I thought Jamie’s felt/looked pretty disjointed as a concept. Almost like he hadn’t felt inspired for this challenge. The only element of his I liked was broccoli salad. Barry’s looked good, but soup for a budget challenge is a little obvious. I thought Mike’s should have won, it was clever and with the size of pie and six big pieces of chicken exceeded the challenge as it would have fed six.

I think Jamie should be deducted a few points for not incorporating the bread crusts in his dish and Barry should get a bonus point for how spot on those eggs were cooked. But I would quite happily eat all of those dishes! Yum!

As a subscriber to the meal packs…I would have to say that Mike’s dish would feed me 6-8 meals…2 chicken thighs and the pie is a HUGE serving…whereas the other boys are realistic 4 meals…in saying that, I love Jamie’s bread-penadas and the usage of them for so many different ideas and flavours

I like how Baz's eggs looked. I've seen ramen served with goopy eggs. It would be a good 'go to' meal. The dumplings seem pretty ingenius.

Kudos to Jayme for all the veggies, he's stepping outside his comfort zone.

Mike's vol au vent filling looked delicious.
