Hi Ma'am, I tried this recipe before, it was a success. But when I baked it during Father's day celebration, I baked 3 and they all failed. I did it again yesterday and it failed. No changes in recipe, followed everything. What could be the problem? ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”

I am a follower at instagram also. I would like to try this recipe but I have Ube halaya instead of Ube coloring. Could I substitute Ube halaya is there a measurement for it? Thank you ๐Ÿ™

    Hi Mommy Chocco!

I tried your recipe as is and the flavor is perfect! Although it came out a little bit lopsided, overall it was very tasty. I shared it with the fam and one gave it a 3 thumbs up๐Ÿ˜‚.

What would you recommend to avoid a lopsided cakes?

Also, if I use a 10×3 pan, would you recommend doubling the recipe? Please kindly let me know.

Overall, itโ€™s a great recipe and I will definitely make it again.

Have a good day from Illinois!๐Ÿ˜‚

Great baking techniques. We make our caramel the same way and floppy cake. Can you please post a recipe for kalamay hirin and sapin-sapin from Bulacan. As I remember from my childhood in Bulacan, our sapin-sapin is plain white. No food coloring and thinly layered (9 layers). Thank you for sharing.
