If you boil them longer will they get softer? I'm looking for mochi texture but with that savory sauce. I bought these premade once and it was like eating an eraser-hard and rubbery.
One of the best things to eat, but man, you forgot the required Mozzarella!!! Brings it to a whole nother level
LOVED this tutorial better than the actual Korean person doing it. 😀
Rosé gojuchang, sayin’
His voice is so relaxing doe
Which gochujang brand do you use?
아~~~ 배고프다😂😂 감사합니다 Babish ❤️
99% of Koreans don’t really make ttuk, but buy some.
we stan a cultured chef that does his research on pronunciations <3
Well done. You get B+
Ahhh My favourite food ❤️❤️❤️
for the sweetness, instead of corn syrup 🙁 I just use honey. Adds wonderful gloss texture and ofc taste. I put mini sausages and cheese in my ttoekbokki loll
Andy saying that making your own dashi is badass and then making his own dashi is like that meme of Obama giving another Obama a medal
You should try it with 어묵 (fish cake)
This looks exactly like what they eat for dinner every night in Jimmy Neutron
Just bought some from my local Korean restaurant along with some pork belly kimchi stew. 🥴🥴🥴
In Korea, most people buy rice cakes and eat them. It's hard to make rice cake with flour.Thank you for your video.
씨발 ㅋㅋㅋ이 아저씨 개미쳤네ㅋㅋ 떡볶이떡도 직접 만들어
I’m using pasta instead of rice cakes
I really shouldn't watch these videos late at night because they make me so freaking hungry
Please make the mozzarella cheese pork cutlets.
My mouth is salivating. I’m definitely gonna make this
Just tried tteokbokki at home for the first time tonight after getting into some Korean shows on Netflix and drooling over the food and drinks they all have. I'm going to keep this on my list of regular foods.
Was super happy to hear a Maangchi shoutout 😊 she's lovely!!
WEEE He mentioned maangchii! ^^
Can u make bibimbap?
Amazing videos
0:50 The reason for soaking the TTeok (떡. rice cake) is to wash out the excess starch and let the Tteok become a bit soft so it will absorb the sauce better to incorperate.
it made me so proud as a second gen korean to hear babish say tteokbokki is one of his favorite dishes 🥺
Wouldn't it be easier to make the dough for the rice cakes in a stand mixer? Also, has anyone tried deep frying the rice cakes? The Chinese make a similar food that they deep fry. I use rice to clean my spice grinder after grinding spices for Indian meals. I think I've now found a use for that rice flower I have been collecting. For some strange reason, I feel a need to put on a lab coat and wonder off to the kitchen – weird!
