honestly the only tip i disagree with is to avoid sautee on the onion… carmalized/sautee onion are so good it should be ilegal, and while it isn't necessary it is soo good. (even in soup).
I made a variant of this soup, and it was amazing. The olive oil garnish before serving is just divine.And the energy in this video is hilarious. I love the open-endedness of your recipe videos, and all of them give me a few new techniques!
I love most of your stuff Adam but really, these style of videos where you scream "NO!" every 5 seconds are extremely annoying for me to watch and just avert me from the recipe, i can't even concentrate on it because i have to brace for the yelling.
I made this except I added celery and lentils, used san marzanos from a can, added dark balsamic, and omitted greens (didn't have them). And wouldn't ya know it, it still ended up being soup.
When he got to the peas, I yelled "Noo!😡" An Uber regular I have (driver here) and I one evening discussed our mutual dissatisfaction with the universal need to ruin soups with peas & carrots. Carrots was enough, but peas too? Noo! 😂
