There are at least one persimmon tree in every household here in South Korea. So when it's end of fall ~ winter, you can see well ripe persimmon hanging on the tree or on the ground like literally everywhere:) i have never seen someone eat persimmon with the peels… wow we always peel them first XD. My favorite is hachiya persimmon or hong-si (we call it like that in Korea). Hong-si is veeeery soft and sweet and juicy. You can freeze then and eat them like a sorbet. It is out of this world!! A great treat for winter snack ๐Ÿคค

Too many comments here not knowing the difference between fuyu and hachiya persimmons! I eat mine (fuyu) exactly as shown in the video, and they are delicious every time!
Definitely no need to peel it!

In my 40 years of life, I had never eat it when itโ€™s hard. Thatโ€™s the fruit that you have to wait when it turns very soft. The softer it turns, the more sweeter it gets. The heart of it – like pieces of pedals, are still crunchy! Thatโ€™s only my humble opinion! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Oh my god this is so wrong this fruit is from my country and please is your love your tongue and mouth pppppleeeease let it get fulllly soft it takes days but you must wait till is soft enough as you peel it off from back of it slowly and it's so hard to digest so you may be bloated and is best to not eat it right after a heavy meal
