Slow cooker setting doesn't work well on instant pots for some reason. I have never been able to get mine to work and have heard the same from many people.

Hi. My slow cooker on instant pot does not work. After looking into it the instant pot slow cooker function does not work. I had to go buy a crock pot. Frustrating! Merry Christmas to you and your family.

The slow cook setting on an IP is very different & it doesnβt work very well. Set it to high which is the same as low on a slow cooker. The IP only heats on the bottom & not the sides. Slow cooker heats on the bottom & sides. It also takes a longer time to heat up unless you start it on sautΓ© & the switch to slow cooker setting. Hope this helps. You can use any glass lid that fits.
I used a lid from one of my pans for the insta pot when slow cook mode.

Instant Pot has always been terrible as a slow cooker from what I have read. Look for a IP version for potato soup. Maybe Six Sisters Stuff
