In food health and safety, the rule of thumb is not to wash meats and especially fowls. This is mostly because people will splash the liquid everywhere and forget to wash their hands and everything that the fowl/liquid has touched…leading to food poisoning! this stew is the type you will cook on saturday when you dont have anywhere to go then sunday you will hammer it wit rice,on monday you boil spaghetti and enjoy it,tuesday eat it with fried yam then last last youll use the rest for jollof rice lol,they say uncooked chicken might have salmonella or legionella which can be transfered on your sink when you pour the water so just boil it and the bacteria will die
