Japchae (aka Korean stir fried glass noodles) is one of my favorite Korean dishes and I’m stoked to share my recipe with you.
One day can you tell me the best way to make a Tortilla de Patatas? 🙏
I made this yesterday, it's amazingly delicious. I subbed creminis for all of the mushrooms and added a bit of fresh ginger to the beef but otherwise followed the recipe closely. My only regret is that we ate it all and I have no leftovers. 🤣
Are you a fascist?
You can slice flank super thin on a bias also at an angle, marinate a while and it turns out super tender. After stir frying the meat and mushrooms, grab your kitchen torch and flame it, it gives some nice char and artificially induced “wok hei “…
i have tryed your bread recipes and i really cant get it right, i guess it is because in my country we dont have a really good flour, i tried everything, even adding more flour and nothing works at least for me, i just gget frustrated and dont want to try anything anymore, most likely is because i havce no fucking idea how to work dough but im tired od trowing away a lot o dough so i just give up, btw all your recipes look amazing hope you keep doing good
I am going to try this for sure. Looks amazing!
Great recipe! One tip I can tell you is do egg yolk first then stir fry veggies from white to yellow to red. Then meat. In that way less time wiping the pan. That’s how most Korean families do. Of course always you can do however you want.
It is recommended to not consume more than 5g salt every day. If I look at how much salt you dump in there at every step you are consuming to much for sure. You are risking heart problems if you continue like that.
For anyone trying this, I recomend less pan frying the veg, and stir frying it together at the end with the noodles.
It's a stir fry noodle dish, and I actually never made or seen a recipe that doesn't fry the noddles after boiling them.
Also, you can soak the noddles in cold water about 30 min while you're preping the veg and boil it about 2 to 3 min for more bouncy texture!
There is gluten in soy sauce and oyster sauce so it’s not a gluten free dish
Japchae is my nemesis! Damn fine video as usual though!🤙🏾
Edit: I would totally just make the beef and mushrooms 🤤
jidan is Egg in chinese lol
I like Brian better than Joshua on every level. I actually don’t even subscribe to Joshua Weissman any longer
Make this all the time. Delicious
My wife and I just made this recipe. You’ve helped me unlock new flavours in the kitchen and expand my knowledge on food. Keep up the great work Bri! Your recipes are amazing!!!
Woah. The island is lower than the standard counter….
This looks great!! Excited to try it. My husband says thank you for feeding Lorn 😂❤️
Why am I recommand this contents? But this jobchae is quiet simillar native recipe. jobchae mixed with rice, Sesame oil is gorgeous meal for me. I should make it tomorrow
Please stop saying "veggies". You're a grown man, not a small child. Saying "veggies" instead of vegetables makes you sound like one.
You can use wood ear mushrooms for extra authenticity, but any mushroom would do the job for a home cook
Can I substitute the noodle with a more common grocery store version if so what type of noodle
Hello, I'm a South Korean, and japchae is a traditional Korean holiday food that takes a lot of hands, but it's delicious, and it's amazing to make traditional Korean food in a foreign country. Thank you for promoting Korean food, I always watch videos well.
2$ per coffee pot, WTF!! No thanks, my espresso machine works perfectly and brews awesome coffee from beans for a fraction!
